Aquasana Water Filter Review and Aquasana Shower Filter Giveaway

I am big on healthy living and I am also big on green living so water filters are a product I totally get behind.  I can’t recommend them enough.  I love having a water filter on my kitchen sink so that I can get fresh filtered water right when I want it in any quantity I want it.  I don’t have to refill the pitcher anymore and I can fill up my reusable water bottles with ease.  I can taste the difference in the water- and the filtered water tastes so much better!

Aquasana AQ-4600/4601 Under Counter Water Filter Review:

I chose to try the Aquasana  AQ-4600/4601 Under Counter Water Filter.  It comes with its own dedicated faucet with 3 faucet finish choices– chrome, brushed nickel or oil-rubbed bronze.  My husband had the honors of installing this water filter and he said it was pretty easy installation and a better design than others he has had the pleasure of installing.  I must say I think that it looks fabulous and I love that the faucet handle turns so that I don’t have to hold down the handle while I wait for a pot to fill.

Now let’s get down to how it works.  A leader in water filtration technology, Aquasana water filters use patent-pending Claryum™ Filtration Technology to provide superior contaminant reduction. Their drinking water filters remove more than 99 percent of the chlorine, lead, herbicides, pesticides, industrial solvents and cysts found in tap water while preserving healthy minerals like calcium, magnesium and potassium.  I really like that they give me the number 99% rather than just saying if does the job.  In comparison to my old pitcher filter, I love being able to get as much filtered water as I want without waiting for it to filter.  I also love that the Aquasana water filter is so effective and filters out more than just basic contaminants leaving great tasting water.

Here is another huge benefit:
Aquasana filters are long-lasting and economicalthe filter cartridges provide six months of clear, healthy water for as little as ten cents per gallon.

NSF-certified Aquasana drinking water filters have been named a “Best Buy” by Consumers Digest for six straight years and one of “America’s Healthiest Gadgets” by Health magazine in 2010 and 2011. Plus, they’ve been chosen as a Consumer Reports “Best Buy” in 2010 and 2011.  I think it is a great buy too- easy to install, works great, and makes it easier for me to keep my family green and healthy at the same time!

i like the fact that Unlike bottled water, home water filters are required to document the purity of the water they produce

  2. Trezlen says

I like that they have independent testing of their shower filter. So it’s more than what they say their product does; they have proof.

  3. Jae says

I like the handheld shower wand filter system. I think it would be great to use in my shower, especially since one that I had broke.

I like the benefits to your hair and skin, Chlorine also strips the natural protective oils from skin and hair, causing excess drying and aging. In addition to the obvious health benefits of showering in chemical-free water, the cosmetic benefits are even more noticeable. Anyone who has ever gone swimming in a chlorinated pool can relate to the harsh drying effect that chlorine has on your skin and hair. Without the negative effects of chlorine and other chemicals found in tap water, your skin and hair retain moisture more effectively for a younger, healthier look and feel. Chemical-free water also extends the life of hair colorings and highlights.

I like that it lets you know this fact: “THERE ARE NO GOVERNMENT STANDARDS THAT REQUIRE BOTTLED WATER TO BE ANY BETTER, PURER OR SAFER THAN TAP WATER” a lot of people may not know this. I didn’t.

Today, I went to the beach with my kids. I found a sea shell and gave it to my 4 year old daughter and said “You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear.”
She placed the shell to her ear and screamed. There was a hermit crab inside and it pinched her
ear. She never wants to go back! LoL I know this is entirely
off topic but I had to tell someone! Thank you, so much!

Hey, would you mind stating which blog platform you’re using? I’m going to start my own blog in the near future but I’m having a difficult time making a decision between BlogEngine/Wordpress/B2evolution and Drupal. The reason I ask is because your layout seems different then most blogs and I’m looking for something completely
unique….. My apologies for getting a bit, off the mark
but I had to ask! Wonderful Job, Chow!
