Feeding America is Feeding Hungry Children

Did you know that kids go hungry right here in America?  As a mother myself, it makes my eyes water just to type that.  The fact is, “In 2010, 48.8 million Americans lived in food insecure households, 32.6 million adults and 16.2 million children.”

Feeding America and their member food banks started a great initiative to help keep kids fed when school is out.  In the BACKPACK PROGRAM, Feeding America provides backpacks full of nutritious food to children across the United States to take home on weekends and school vacations when other resources are not available.  The program provides backpacks filled with food that is child-friendly, non-perishable, and easily-consumed. Backpacks are discreetly distributed to children on the last day before the weekend or holiday vacation.

Imagine how many millions of children are eating the cheapest, and very non-nutrient foods in american ON TOP of 1/4 starving already. Imagine the Bildeburgs and people like Bill Gates, could give grains, put in water pipes and feed all the children of the world with their billions OVERNIGHT. Imagine the 1.5 billion people spent on the recent mega millions could have fed a lot of hungry children in america. Imagine if inequality around the world wasn’t this big of a gap. Imagine if the 50 PERCENT OF THE WORLD STARVING was helped by the elite. Imagine if larger numbers of people really cared, instead of being so self absorbed self indulgent self centered selfish and consuming/wasting zombies. Imagine if I wrote a book on your blog. :)
