I had the good fortune to attend a press screening of Disney’s “Muppets Most Wanted”. In order to facilitate our review of Muppets Most Wanted, I took my two kiddos who are 6 and 9. I was also provided with some fabulous Muppets Most Wanted Activity Sheets. I will share these with you today. They show you how to draw Fozzie and a Gonzo Maze. Those free printables are at the bottom of the post.
Muppets Most Wanted Review: A Great Family Film
“Muppets Most Wanted”, rated PG, hit the big screen on March 21, 2014. The movie follows the entire Muppets gang on a global tour led by a new promoter called, Dominic Badguy. He explains that is is pronounced “Badgee” because it’s French- LOL! Dominic is portrayed by Ricky Gervais and he does a brilliant job of it!
While Kermit tries to manage the Muppet acts and start small, Dominic seems to provide instant success by selling out some of Europe’s most grand theaters. Dominic also lets the Muppets get whatever they want. Kermit finds himself losing popularity with the Muppets. He is replaced by Constantine—the World’s Number One Criminal and a dead ringer for Kermit the Frog. None of the Muppets (except Animal) seem to notice that Kermit has been replaced. They are too busy enjoying their success. The Muppets find themselves unwittingly entangled in an international crime caper.
I found the Muppets Most Wanted to be a great family film. It captured the interests of my children and left them laughing. It also entertained me with fun cameos from the likes of Celine Dione, Selma Hayek, and Sean Combs. There was great acting from Ty Burrell as Interpol agent Jean Pierre Napoleo and Tina Fey as Nadya a lovable but tough prison guard. Ricky Gervais was fantastic as Dominic Badguy. There were also some funny scenes with Ray Liotta, Danny Trejo and Jemaine Clements doing the unexpected. All in all, I’d say this film was a total success. It was major crowd pleaser with a funny plot and great lines.
