Peter Asher Coffee and Tea Review and Giveaway
I love coffee and Tea so when I was offered the opportunity to try Peter Asher Coffee and Tea, a small family roastery in Champaign, of course, I said yes! The idea of a family roastery intrigued me. They have been roasting coffee for over 20 years and blending tea from a little over 7 but they are just now getting on the web! So now we can all thy Peter Asher Coffee and Tea! Their website is very visual and fun to look through. Their descriptions are playful and insightful.
I choose to try Peter Asher’s House Northern Italian Espresso ground for stovetop espresso maker. When I opened it up I was very pleased with the rich, clean aroma that came out of the bag. Delicious. There is nothing bitter about this blend just full bodied and smooth. Very nice. I couldn’t wait to pour it into mugs, add some steamed milk and serve some to my husband too! He gave it a thumbs up as well.
Coffee? Who needs all that water? You see, I’m an environmentalist. Please, just give me the good stuff and save the rest for the fishes. What fueled the Industrial Revolution? Espresso. How did Italy win the world cup? Espresso. Like a leather craftsman, a blacksmith, watchmaker or your neighborhood barber; our espresso bean beholds an old-worldly perfection and attention to detail that’s kept it running through the blood of our planet’s deepest thinkers for over 100 years, and just like many of our planets deepest thinkers, it’s full of character and slightly nutty.
I also choose to try two of my favorite teas- Pu-Erh and Chai P.A. Most of you have probably experienced the exotic flavors of chai, if you haven’t you need too! So yummy. I was pleased to open the bag and find the smells of cardamom, ginger, and cinnamon so strong. In some lesser quality chais, they cheat you on these rich spices but they are all there in Peter Asher Chai and they are organic!
Pu-Erh is a lesser known Chinese tea that I would never had know about if my mother who is a tea connoisseur and lover of only the best quality and flavors, hadn’t introduced me to Pu-Erh. It a very dark tea. In fact, Pu-Erh kind of looks like coffee when it is brewed and it has such full bodied flavor that it actually makes a great coffee substitute if you are trying to drink less coffee. Pu-Erh Tea comes compressed in little pod shapes. I really enjoyed this Pu-Erh Tea Blend.

Orange Vanilla tea for me! I LOVE anything with that flavor combo mmmmm
This Guatemalan viewed me with candy flavor that was loaded with paperwork of herbs. In the qualifications there was a spicey sweet flavor that balanced the fragrance.
The flavor started with candy too. It had a strong candy flavor up front with ideas of herbs and a spicey flavor in the in the qualifications. The fruit flavor was dark and sweet like a apple or blood dropped into candy.
