I recently discovered a great green kitchen products site- ReduceEveryday.com. Reduce™ offers eco-friendly kitchen products with style and value while minimizing your carbon footprint. Reduce offers stainless steel options for water pitchers, food jars, and water bottles but what really caught my eye was their biodegradable bamboo composite tableware and utensils line they call Melaboo.

Well, I had never seen or heard of Melaboo so naturally I was intrigued and I was pleased to be able to do a Melaboo review. All of the Melaboo sets are made of bamboo fiber composite and they are 100% biodegradable, sustainable and non-toxic.
I was particularly interested in the Melaboo 5pc Utensil Set because it seemed like a great option to use on non stick cookware. The Melaboo utensils themselves feel like a hard heavy weight plastic. I like the weight of the various pieces in the set which include a serving spoon, spatula, pasta fork, slotted spoon and ladle. It is important to me how they feel in my hand and I like the feel of the handles as well- not to flimsy or too big. I find them to be very nice and balanced utensils and I like the fun element of color they bring to my kitchen! I tested them out in hot oil and boiling water and they did nicely.
I was also interested in the Melaboo measuring spoon set and the Melaboo measuring cup set and I am very pleased with both. They both have a nice solid weight about them and fancy little stylish details that made them a spiffy addition to my kitchen.
I am quite sure that this Melaboo Utensil set will be a fabulous eco-friendly addition to any home which is great because the folks at Reduce are offering a set to giveaway to a reader as well!

we have been trying to reduce our carbon footprint by recycling and re using things that we would normally not. I would love to have the filter pitcher i find when there is cold water that is readily available the kids are more inclined to drink it!
