I love a little variety in my diet so when I got the chance to try some new Asian food products, I was excited to do so! I had not tried Annie Chun or CJ Foods previously but I enjoyed doing the review.
Annie Chun and CJ Foods Review
I got to review two products from Annie Chun all natural Asian cuisine. The Annie Chun Spicy Chicken Ramen is unlike any ramen I had ever had. First and very importantly to me, Annie Chun ramen has no MSG or preservatives! Second, this restaurant style ramen is not dried- that’s right no dried noodles or dried spice packets. The ramen noodles come fresh cooked in a separate plastic package and the sauce comes in a package too. It is easy to cook up and the noodles had great texture and flavor as did the broth. I thought it was really yummy and my kids loved the noodles though they found the it a bit spicy- lightwieghts! I, on the otherhand, mixed some of the CJ Gochujang Hot Pepper Paste into it because I like it extra hot.
I also got to try the Annie Chun Asian noodles- the Maifun Brown Rice Noodles variety. I must say that I like the selection that Annie Chun offers and the quality because my grocery store noodles selection is slim pickin’s! The delicate, appealingly tender Maifun (angel hair) brown rice noodles are made with 100% whole grain, are gluten-free, and a good source of dietary fiber. Their mild flavor and great texture are perfect for a yummy, healthy pad thai.
Next, I got to review the Hot & Spicy CJ Bibigo Korean BBQ Marinade and Cooking Sauce to make Korean Beef Short Ribs. I got the recipe off CJfoods.com site and it was really easy to make and full of yummy exotic sweetness and spiciness. The CJ Korean BBQ Marinade transforms any ordinary dish into a gourmet masterpiece and it is so easy to whip out. My husband really liked this dish and I was able to whip it up easily. “We take the perfect blend of quality ingredients, including ginger and roasted sesame seeds, and the golden ratio of spices to create the authentic recipe that has been Korea’s favorite for 30 years. Asian pear and apple purees tenderize the meat and give your food a naturally sweet and fruity flavor.” I like that I can use it to marinate, grill, or stir-fry with beef, chicken, pork, seafood, vegetables, rice, or noodles- so versatile!
