My kids are back in school and challenges of school schedules are starting to face us already. You know what I mean- between drop off, pick up, Girl Scouts, Cub Scouts, soccer, and music lessons, it can be pretty hectic some days. I try to make sure they get nutritious meals to keep them going, growing and healthy. Everyday, I pack their lunchboxes with love. Here are few easy lunchbox ideas to help keep things simple but fun.

Easy Lunchbox Ideas:
If you find yourself too rushed in the morning, pack your lunchboxes at night and stick them in the refrigerator over night.
Try cutting your sandwiches with cookie cutters for holiday fun, fun Fridays, or when your child has a big test day. This just takes a second but they love it and my dog loves the leftovers!
Keep some fresh veggies on hand that have a longer shelf life and are easy to grab and drop into their lunchboxes. Peeled baby carrots, cherry tomatoes, and snap peas all work well for this.
Keep some fresh fruit on hand that doesn’t get squished easily and that won’t turn brown quickly like small whole apples, tangerines, and grapes.
Have Mott’s® Snack & Go Natural Applesauce Pouches on hand for those days when you run out of fresh fruit (you know it happens all the time), you need a quick easy snack to grab on the go, or to use as a healthy dessert option. This is a great new product that comes in the squeeze packages they love (no spoon needed) and in several flavors. I like that they sell the Natural applesauce pouches by the four pack for easy carrying and better pricing. There is no added sugar in the Mott’s® Snack & Go Natural Applesauce pouches and they are an excellent source of Vitamin C. My kids think that the Mott’s® Snack & Go applesauce pouches are delicious and I think they are nutritious. Plus, Mott’s® Snack & Go pouches are convenient and easy to keep in the car for unexpected snack times.
6. Include a little note to your child. Tell them how proud you are or wish them luck on a test. I don’t do this everyday but it makes it special when I do.
7. Mott’s® 100% Apple Juice makes an easy addition to lunchboxes and whichever flavor you choose, your family gets the equivalent of at least a half cup of fruit in every juice box. These are nice to have on hand for soccer practices too. Kids get an excellent source of vitamin C in these conveniently packaged in on-the-go juice boxes.
8. Try swapping out the sandwiches with wraps or pita breads for a fun, easy change of pace.
I hope you enjoyed these easy lunchbox ideas. You can also make lunchbox packing a family job. Give each kid a responsibility and get it all done together. Teamwork can be very rewarding and is one more easy lunchbox idea!
