Assuming that your family trip is on a budget, you will be pleased to know that all of the things listed, except number 5, are free events. You won’t want to miss out on any of these family activities in Las Vegas.
5 Fun Family Activities In Las Vegas:
1. Bellagio Fountains.
The Bellagio fountains are probably the most well-known tourist attraction on the Las Vegas strip. Each afternoon and evening, an amazing water and light show is put on for the public. Shows start every 15 minutes or half hour, depending on the day. This is definitely worth the effort to go see. And honestly, you can hardly miss it since it’s right on the main in the center of the strip!
2. Sirens of Treasure Island. Nothing will entertain the whole family like a band of scruffy pirates falling prey to a group of beautiful sirens, who then engage them in a ballet of sword fighting. It’s like Pirates of the Caribbean come to life. Shows start after dark and run every hour and a half. Performances will stop for about a month between Thanksgiving and Christmas and performances don’t occur during inclement weather. Kids and parents both will enjoy this exciting show! This is sure to be a favorite of your family activities in Las Vegas.
3. Fremont Street Light Show. One of the best parts of Las Vegas isn’t the billion-dollar hotels, neon light-filled casinos, or expensive shows, but the free light show in what used to be the original Las Vegas strip. Back in the days of Frank Sinatra and seedy gangster activities, Fremont Street was the heart of Las Vegas. Now converted into a tourist attraction, you can wander around under this street which is canopied by a ceiling covered in thousands of tiny light bulbs. The bulbs can change color and are used to create the Fremont Street Experience, a light show of epic proportions. The canopy is the length of five football fields and every hour after dark will depict one of the most amazing light shows around.
4. Lions in the MGM Grand and other attractions. Every hotel has some kind of special attraction to draw people in. The MGM Grand has lions caged in a giant glass environment for tourists to watch. Circus Circus puts on a show every half hour, complete with acrobats and tight-rope walkers. The Venetian has a shopping mall with a real Venice-like water causeway flowing down it (you can even take a trip on a gondola if you like!) Every hotel has a new adventure to experience.
5. Buffets. What else is a vacation for but to indulge? Vegas is full of delicious buffets that will have food to match everyone’s taste. All casinos and hotels have buffets, but these tend to be more on the expensive side. Cheaper buffets can be found just off the strip. Take the whole family and spend a few hours relaxing and eating in a cozy buffet setting. Make sure you go hungry and prepare to stuff yourself to bursting point.
