Why Holistic Organic Skin Care Is Important To Me

holistic organic skin care treatments

I have always believed that what we put into and onto our bodies matters because it affects our health. Sometimes the results are immediate, others build over time.  One stunning example of why this matters is that a study, reported in the Journal of Applied Toxicology, found parabens (a preservative common in many skin care products) to be present in significant amounts in 18 out of 20 breast cancer tumors. I personally would rather not risk having cosmetic chemicals accumulate in my body. That is why holistic organic skin care is important to me. There are plenty of natural preservatives that are great for your skin, like Jojoba and Vitamin E.

Easy Holistic Organic Skin Care Treatments

The most basic elements of any skin care routine involve a great cleanser and a great moisturizer. As you begin to age a bit, you may want the moisturizer to serve the extra purpose of defending against wrinkles. I know I do!  Here, I will review two easy holistic organic skin care treatments that your skin will love by Made from Earth.

Made from Earth Green Tea Toxin Cleanser Review

holistic organic skin care cleanser

This Green Tea Toxin Cleanser is a great addition to your everyday skin care routine. It does well with most skin types.  This cleanser is even hypoallergenic and non-irritating for people with sensitive skin.  Green tea is known as a detoxifying agent and for its antioxidant value. That combination of vitamins A, B, C and E as well as aloe vera makes this holistic organic skin care cleanser quite a healthy treat for your face.

The cleanser is a of a creamy variety and yet it is not all oily or heavy.  I was surprised at how light it feels and that it is not at all sticky.  It went on well and washed off easily.  The scent is soft, almost not even there (Organic Lavender Distillate, Organic Roman Chamomile, Rose Distillate).  It can also be used as a mask if you apply a little thicker and leave on a little longer. It made my skin feel very soft.

This cleanser was developed based on research showing topical applications of green tea may be able to prevent skin cancer when applied to your skin. A German study found that an extract of green tea applied externally to the skin for 10 minutes, three times a day could help people with skin damaged from radiation therapy (after 16-22 days).

Made From Earth Plant Stem Cell Therapy Review

organic plant stem cell therapy

The Plant Stem Cell Therapy is a holistic organic skin care moisturizer that improves skin tone and luminosity.  Plant stem cell therapy is considered a breakthrough in anti-aging skin care.  This moisturizer uses botanical hyaluronic acid and high-potency organic plant stem cells that are sustainably harvested to provide skin with a self-renewal capability, vitamins and extracts to enhance and repair the skin.

The ingredients in Plant Stem Cell Therapy are certified organic. They are rich in plant oil ingredients which improve elasticity and support the production of collagen.  The antioxidants fight free radical damage and establish firmer skin while the hyaluronic acid, glycolic acid and protein peptides renew the surface layer of the skin.  The treatment is ideal for all skin types looking to fight the signs of aging and sun damage.  It is very creamy and feels a little thick but it leaves my skin soft and glowing.

The formula is designed to create visibly firmer facial skin, while keeping skin hydrated, and, reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

You will never find any chemical ingredients in their products, such as:
    Petrochemicals and Phthalates
    Parabens (Methyl, Propyl, Butyl)
    Sodium Lauryl/Laureth Sulfate
    Diazolidinyl Urea
    Mineral Oil
    Cosmetic Fragrance

I love that their products are free of Petrochemicals and Phthalates, Parabens (Methyl, Propyl, Butyl), Sodium Lauryl/Laureth Sulfate, Diazolidinyl Urea, Mineral Oil, and Cosmetic Fragrance. It seems like it just keeps getting harder and harder to avoid all that junk! I’m glad small companies are fighting back with awesome products!

I learned that cosmetic chemicals accumulate in the body’s fatty tissues, where they can remain for years and damage your cells. It’s good that Made from Earth uses a natural preservative system to preserve there precious organic ingredients.
