Who doesn’t love queso dip? I know whenever I go to a restaurant with friends; we order queso dip and devour it before we even get our food. I had some friends over the other day and we were having a potluck type dinner. It was great because everyone brought different dishes which made tasting everything that much better! I decided to make my own homemade queso dip. Now, this is not your average queso dip where it is very gooey. Reckless Abandon’s recipe for this homemade queso dip is thicker almost like a spread, but we all ate it as a normal dip. It is so delicious and creamy that once you taste it you automatically say, “Oh my gosh, this queso… it’s so good!” That’s the reaction I got from my friends, family, and boyfriend. This homemade queso dip recipe is perfect if you just are in the mood for queso, parties, get togethers, and even football tailgating! You can make this homemade queso in 3 easy steps (I promise you, you will DEFINITELY want to make this all the time!).
Homemade Queso Dip Recipe
Homemade Queso Dip Ingredients:
- 2 blocks of cream cheese
- ½ of an onion, diced
- ½ cup of mayo (use your favorite kind)
- 8 oz Monterrey Jack cheese (1 package)
- 8 oz Parmesan cheese- I used the Italian 5 cheese (1 package)
Homemade Queso Dip Recipe Directions
Heat the oven set to 500 degrees.
You want the cream cheese to be soft enough to mix with. Microwave the cream cheese for a minute on a microwave safe plate. Then place it into a mixing bowl.
Add the ½ cup of mayo to the cream cheese, diced onions, and both packages of cheese. Once all the ingredients are in the bowl, mix them up very well.
After everything is mixed, place it into a pie or baking pan. Smooth it out and place in the oven for 15 minutes. You will know when it is done when it begins to brown on the top.
See how simple it is to make this homemade queso dip?! Now that you know how to make this version, will you make some? Have you ever made any homemade queso dip recipe that is different from this?
