A Morning Win
Sometimes mornings can feel like you are stuck in slow motion! This morning making my coffee correctly was a morning win, after a few unsuccessful attempts that just made me laugh at myself! First I got interrupted by my kids clamoring for breakfast. So I put down my partially washed out stovetop espresso maker and whipped out a quick breakfast option from belVita- mixed berry and chocolate belVita Bites.
“What are those?” my kids asked.
“Well, they are are sort of like breakfast biscuits that have lots of wholesome grains to help fuel your body for 4 hours,” I explained.
I tried the belVita Bites in mixed berry and I thought they were yummy. They don’t taste too sweet but they do taste good. I like that each packet of belVita Bites contains 20g of whole grain, 4g of fiber. I also like that they have no high fructose corn syrup, no partially hydrogenated oil and no artificial colors, flavors, or sweeteners. belVita Bites Breakfast Biscuits are easy to pick up a local retailers nationwide in the cookie/cracker aisle so they are convenient to buy and to use for breakfast on the run. While I was nibbling on my belVita Bites, I was waiting to hear my stovetop espresso maker let me know it was done. Finally, I went to check on it and of course, it was still sitting partially washed out where I left it before I got distracted by my cute kiddos!
I finish washing it out and I fill it with water and pack it with coffee ground for espresso. I put it on the stove and I wait, again. I keep myself busy with morning activities like making sure everything is in the backpack that should be, reading to my son, and sending the kids to get dressed. I think, this coffee is taking forever, so I go and check on it and you know, it still is not ready. Because… I forgot to turn the stove on! Ugh!
Some mornings, you need coffee to make coffee! LOL! So you can see why getting my coffee ready this morning was a morning time small victory for me! Then I even managed to get the kids dressed, lunches packed, and to school on time. Yay me!
