Toddlers are a handful. But you probably knew that already! Before you have kids you hear about kids writing on the walls, but you think, “My kids will never do that!” Wrong. Most likely, they will. And here is the funny part, even when they do, you probably will find, a little piece of you, is proud! I mean sure you’ll be frustrated and angry, but look at that nice letter writing skill! So here is what my kids have been up to lately.
#WordlessWednesday Initially, I just posted the photos because they left me pretty wordless but I went back and added the story for posterity’s sake!
My Daughter Draws A Dino
Nice job, right? She is only 5 and she just loves to draw. Always Ms. Perfect.
My Son Practices His Letters…In Permanent Marker on Carpet
That’s my boy! My son is 3 and we have been practicing writing his name. He decided to practice his letters on his own- in permanent marker on carpet!
My son, Leo, demonstrates his superior letter writing skill, O-L-E, in permanent marker on my couch. I mean those letters were almost in order and certainly more legible than the ones on the carpet so his practice obviously paid off!
Now that you think about it, writing on the walls is not so bad, right? You can always wipe it off with Mr. Clean or paint over it. Not so easy when they write on your furniture and flooring!
Time to rearrange the couch and make it hover over the ruined section of the carpet against the wall. Unless anyone knows how to get permanent marker off of carpet and couch! I tried rubbing alcohol. I tried essential oils. Just too much area to work on so I gave up!
