Are you a foodie or a just a mom struggling to come up with something new for dinner because it turns out your family wants to every night?! LOL! I used to be a foodie but now I just want to make something everyone likes and eats that isn’t too time consuming! Anyway, I recently discovered Yummly and I think it is a super cool way to keep an online recipe box. Now when you are on my blog browsing all my fabulous recipes;), you can just click “Yum” and insert them into your own personal recipe box!

Use Yummly To Create Your Own Online Recipe Box

Create An Account

So first of all you go to yummly.com and sign up for an account. You could just browse delicious recipes but you want to sign up for an account so that you can create your online recipe box.

Create Recipe Box Collections

Once you “sign up”, you will be able to browse recipes on Yummly and when you hit “yum” you will have the option to add recipes to your recipe box. Yummly starts you with some generic categories and gives you the chance to create your own too so if you are super duper organized you can have a collection for everything from sandwiches to fish dinners to pies. You can take a look at my recipe box collections to get ideas if you like.

Add The Yummly Bookmarklet

save and organize recipes

the Yummly bookmarket is easy to install- you can get it here. You just drag the symbol onto your toolbar and the bookmarklet allows to be browsing any website (including my blog, ahem) and hit the yum bookmarklet to save the recipe into your online recipe box.

I just got savvy about this awesome way of organizing my online recipes. What about you? Do you think you will try Yummly to create an online recipe box? Or have you already tried it? I’d love to hear what you think of Yummly!

This is a great idea. I love being able to keep my recipe box online without books and cards and notes to organize.
