Peppermint Chocolate Christmas Fudge Recipe
Supplies:
- 16 oz chocolate frosting – store bought will be fine!
- 2 cups chocolate chips
- 1 tsp butter
- 1 package Wilton candy cane peppermint candy melts, 8 oz bag
- 5 extra candy canes (optional)
The candy melts can be purchased at craft stores (such as JoAnn Stores), big box stores (such as Walmart), or online. Alternatively, you can use Andes Peppermint Crunch Baking Chips, 10 oz bag.
How To Make Candy Cane Peppermint Chocolate Fudge:
I used a dark chocolate frosting and dark chocolate mini chips because those are my favorites. You can however use milk chocolate chips or even white chocolate chips if you prefer.
Combine the butter, chocolate chips, and chocolate frosting in a microwave safe bowl.
Optional, if you like extra mint flavor, also add 5 candy canes you have ground to small pieces in a food processor or smashed to small pieces inside of a Ziploc bag.
Microwave on high for 40 seconds. Stir the mixture and continue to microwave at 30-40 second intervals until the mixture is completely melted.
Stir the chocolate fudge mixture until it is completely smooth.
Pour the fudge into a greased baking pan or onto a sheet pan lined with parchment paper. Chill in the freezer or refrigerator 15 minutes.
In a small bowl, microwave the peppermint candy melts according to package instructions.
Spread the melted candy cane candy melts over the fudge and return it to the freezer for 10 minutes or until the candy has become hard.
When the candy topping is hard, remove the fudge from the freezer and cut into squares.

Wrap the fudge in gift bags or serve with your other holiday treats. The fudge will keep well at room temperature but if you do not plan to serve or gift it right away, it will last longer if kept refrigerated.
This mint chocolate fudge recipe is by far the easiest fudge I have ever made. It is quick to make, sets up fast, and is creamy and delicious.
