During the summer months my skin seems to need a little more exfoliation than other times of the year. It can feel dry and parched mostly from being out in the sun and not to mention a little icky from the sunscreen, bug spray and sweat that most everyone carriers around on their skin during the summertime. I have a great quick and easy DIY exfoliating body scrub perfect for a light exfoliation and the scent is perfectly refreshing. Citrus scents in the summertime are my favorite! Here’s a little secret: you can even use this scrub on your face. Just make sure to rub gently if you choose to use on your face. This DIY scrub makes for the perfect DIY gift too! Just wrap it up in a cute package and you have a lovely summer gift for your friends or family!
Sugar Lime DIY Exfoliating Body Scrub Tutorial
An exfoliating body scrub is a skincare product designed to remove dead skin cells and impurities from the surface of the skin, leaving it smooth, soft, and rejuvenated. These scrubs typically contain abrasive particles, such as sugar, which help to physically exfoliate the skin when massaged in circular motions. In addition to the exfoliating particles, this body scrub recipe also contain moisturizing sweet almond oil to hydrate the skin and prevent it from becoming dry or irritated during the exfoliation process.

Gather your ingredients and grab a spot on your kitchen counter to work. Pour 1 cup of sugar into your mixing bowl. Next, add 1/4 cup of your Sweet Almond Oil. Mix together well. How To Use:

- Rinse off the scrub thoroughly with warm water.
- Pat your skin dry with a towel and follow up with a moisturizer to lock in hydration.
- Use body scrubs no more than 2-3 times per week to avoid over-exfoliating, which can irritate the skin.
