Apple Cider Glazed Pork Chops Recipe

Fall means loads of delicious flavors like pumpkin, apple, and all sorts of flavors. I will find ways to add them into my meals and snacks. Pork and apples were just meant to be together, they compliment each other so well. I wanted a sauce that was not only sweet but had a tangy flavor with a little heat- apple cider vinegar gives it a punch of tartness and it is finished off with a smidgen of heat from red pepper flakes. This dish requires only one pan and is ready in less than 20 minutes start to finish. The flavors are perfect for fall, and while it is simple enough for a weeknight, it is special enough for Saturday night company. Apple Cider Pork Chops Recipe

Apple Cider Glazed Pork Chops Ingredients:

  • 8-10 thin center cut pork chops
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • ¼ cup apple cider vinegar
  • ⅔ cup apple juice/apple cider
  • 1-2 cooking apples
  • 1 Tbsp. cornstarch
  • ½ tsp. red pepper flakes
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • olive oil for pan

How To Make Pork Chop And Apple Recipe:

Season pork chops with salt and pepper.

Slice apples into wedges.

Drizzle pan with olive oil over medium high heat.

When pan is hot add pork chops and apple slices, cook until done, flip and brown on the other side.

Remove pork chops from pan, set aside.

Whisk apple juice, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, corn starch  and red pepper flakes in pan with apples, bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes until thickened. Turn off heat.

Place pork chops back in pan, and toss to coat.

Serve over rice, with potatoes, or with pasta!

Ingredients
