Most parents know that college tuition is not cheap. In fact, according to TIME, “These days, the average cost for a year at a four-year college ranges from $9,410 for in-state public tuition to $32,410 for private.”  As parents, we know that means we should begin saving for college as soon as possible but often figuring out how to save is hard.  Well, today’s post is sponsored by Country Financial and their experts can help you navigate the options and find the best college savings plan for you– because each family is different.

Finding The Best College Savings Plan For You

My kids in front of my Alma Mater!

I know I want my kids to go to college. I want them to be well educated. I want them to be confident and have that sense of accomplishment. I also want them not to have to struggle financially and going college offers a huge leg up there. As the only one of my siblings that finished college, I tell you I have it way easier in the work field than my siblings who did not and I make way more money. According to USA Today, “Americans with no more than a high school diploma have fallen so far behind college graduates in their economic lives that the earnings gap between college grads and everyone else has reached its widest point on record…College graduates, on average, earned 56% more than high school grads in 2015.”

Knowing that I want my kids to go to college means that I am preparing for it now. I talk them about different careers and the education required for those choices and I talk them about the importance of good grades. I have also begun saving for college. It can be confusing and if you are like me, you may be wondering, “What is the best college savings plan?” That is why I am excited to share a little bit about college saving plan options from the experts at Country Financial.
