The fact is, I never thought I would get Botox, but at 42 I started noticing my skin changing and began to wonder what I could do about it. After all, the movie stars seem to be able to stay forever young, maybe I could have a few less wrinkles too. According to Harper’s Bazaar, Botox is one of the top non surgical cosmetic treatments. I still was a bit nervous about deciding to try Botox. Therefore, I wanted to make sure that I was going to an expert who would do a natural looking job. I chose Image Surgical Arts in Nashville because the micro-injection process is handled by Triple Board-Certified Cosmetic Surgeon, Dr. Brady Harris.
I liked that he was a highly qualified doctor. After seeing him, I can tell you that he asked questions to determine what my concerns were and how he could best address them and he had a warm, genuine manner. I didn’t feel rushed. I felt like he was really listening to me. He said he would go a bit easy on the Botox to make sure that I could still express myself naturally. He told me what to expect in terms of results and recovery time. The treatment time really just took a few minutes. He answered my questions and I felt very confident his abilities.
Botox For Crows Feet And Botox For Forehead Wrinkles
I was really planning on getting the Botox for forehead wrinkles and frown lines between my brows. To be honest, I have been struggling with some personal issues lately and I found those thin lines looking more pronounced than ever. That is why I was really attracted by the idea of Botox for my forehead wrinkles because not only would it reduce the appearance but it would also prevent the deepening of my existing wrinkles by helping keep my forehead muscles more relaxed.
Dr. Harris told me something I was not aware of- Botox can also be really effective for crows feet- you know those corner eye wrinkles you get when you smile. Well, I have also been noticing a proliferation of those eye wrinkles lately so I was more than happy to try Botox for crows feet too. Here is something else that is going to blow your mind, he said Botox may even be able to lift my brows a bit as they are sitting a bit heavy on my eyelids. Wow.
What Is It Like To Get Botox?
He had me smile or frown before each micro-injection so that he could get the injections in just the perfect spot. The needle is super tiny and thin and it really just feels like a minor stinging sensation. The only weird part was it did make a few crackling noises which is turns out is normal. It was a very quick and smooth process. Then when he was done there were bumps where the injections were. However, those go away within 5- 15 minutes as it absorbs.
The full Botox results take about 7-10 days to see. At 14 days out now, I am super pleased with the results of both the Botox for forehead wrinkles and the Botox for crows feet. The wrinkles on my forehead are noticeably diminished (I’d say about 85% gone) and I can still move my eyebrows. The crows feet are pretty much gone entirely. I feel so much more confident when I smile and when I look in the mirror. I really needed a boost of self-esteem right about now in my life. Therefore, I am very thankful for getting to review Botox!
Botox works to reverse signs of aging by temporarily preventing nerve cell signals from reaching the underlying muscles. The Botox results last about 3-6 months and then fine lines and wrinkles will gradually begin to reappear. I am 100% satisfied with my Botox experience.
