How To Make A Cooling Essential Oil Roller Recipe
Using cooling essential oils can be a refreshing and beneficial addition to your daily routine. These oils, such as peppermint, eucalyptus, and wintergreen, are known for their cooling properties, which can provide relief from heat and soothe the skin. They can help alleviate discomfort from sunburns, insect bites, and skin irritations, offering a natural and gentle alternative to synthetic products. Additionally, their invigorating scents can uplift your mood, reduce stress, and enhance mental clarity, making them perfect for use during hot summer days or after a strenuous workout. Incorporating cooling essential oils into your self-care regimen can promote overall well-being and provide a refreshing burst of energy.
DIY Beauty Supplies / Natural Ingredients Needed For Cooling Roll-On Recipe:
For this Cooling Essential Oils Roll-On recipe I have chosen three pure essential oils. These oils are really potent so it is important to handle carefully and keep away from sensitive areas like your eyes. Dilute the cooling essential oils into the carrier oil as instructed.
- 10 ml Glass Roller Bottle (I always grab mine on Amazon. They have lots to choose from. You can even get fun colored tops or bottles. Here is an affiliate link.)
- Rosemary, Peppermint and Wintergreen Young Living Essential oils (I am a distributor if you’d like to order from me.)
- Carrier Oil of your Choice (I like Safflower oil or Avocado oil but Coconut Oil is a fine choice too)
Peppermint and Wintergreen essential oils are considered counterirritants. They reduce inflammation, increase circulation and have a cooling effect when applied to the skin. Rosemary essential oil is great for the skin and is also a natural mood booster that improves cognitive function.
Ensure you use pure, therapeutic-grade essential oils from reputable sources to avoid additives and contaminants.
DIY Cooling Oils Roll-On Directions:
Grab everything and head to the kitchen counter.
Start by adding your cooling essential oils to your roller bottle. Add 2 drops of Wintergreen, 2 drops of Peppermint oil and 2 drops of Rosemary essential oil.
Once the essential oils are added, top off your roller with your carrier oil. Pop on the roller top, shake, and you are ready to use your Cooling Essential Oils Roll-On!
How To Use Roll On Essential Oils
If you are new to using essential oils, perform a patch test by applying a small amount of diluted oil to a small area of skin and wait 24 hours to check for any adverse reactions before wider application.
Here’s how to apply roll on essential oils. To use, simply roll on the back of your neck and top of shoulders. You can also roll behind ears or on temples. (Make sure not to get in eyes.) You can use the cooling essential oils roll-on before going out into the heat to stay cool while outside or use after you have come inside to help cool off quickly. I just love the way it feels so cooling on my neck on a hot day. The refreshing aroma is also amazing. It is kind of like a cool breeze or air conditioning in a bottle!
Do not apply essential oils to sensitive areas such as the eyes, ears, and mucous membranes. If contact occurs, rinse thoroughly with a carrier oil, not water.
Conclusion
Cooling essential oils offer a multitude of benefits that make them a valuable addition to your wellness routine. Their natural cooling properties can provide immediate relief from heat and skin irritations, while their invigorating scents can enhance your mood and mental clarity. Whether used to refresh and energize or destress, these oils serve as a versatile and natural remedy for various discomforts. Incorporating cooling essential oils into your daily life can promote a sense of well-being and bring a rejuvenating touch to your self-care practices.
