Easy Soft Pretzels Recipe

These soft pretzels easy to make and the perfect thing for you and the kid in your life to make for a snack! Low in sugar, fat, and absolutely no preservatives, they are much better for you than so many go to snack foods. The rolling and shaping of these easy soft pretzels are also great for developing motor skills. The best part? These soft pretzels are really easy and fun to make, which gives you a fun project to do together. Plus, this easy soft pretzels recipe doesn’t take too long- only about 30 minutes to make! Perfect for short (and hungry) attention spans!

Super Easy Soft Pretzels Recipe:

Soft Pretzels Recipe Ingredients:

  • 1 package dry active yeast
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups warm water
  • 4 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • kosher salt for pretzel sprinkles (optional)

How To Make Soft Pretzels:

Preheat oven to 425F.

Put all ingredients, except egg and salt, in bowl and mix until thoroughly combined. Finish by kneading into a ball on the counter.  Cut off sections and roll into ropes.

Twist the pretzel ropes into pretzel shapes.  Brush with beaten egg and sprinkle with coarse sea salt.

Bake the soft pretzels for 10-12 minutes, or until golden.
