Eva Dry Dehumidifier Review- A Mini Workhorse

I have a basement area that always seems a little stuffy and moist whenever I enter it. Once during incredible rains, I saw signs of mildew starting to form in some areas. I have been wanting to get a dehumidifier to improve the air quality and the musty smell. Therefore, I was happy to do an eva dry dehumidifier review.

Eva-Dry Review:

eva dry dehumidifier review

I received an Eva Dry Dehumidifier 2200, a mid-sized capacity, electric dehumidifier.  The unit works in areas of the home that are up to 2,200 cubic feet. I pulled it out the box and just had to connect the plug into the unit and into the power outlet on the wall and then it was working. In other words, it is super easy to use (just flip the on switch) and does not require any assembly.  The Eva-Dry Model 2200 has a two liter capacity removable water tank and an automatic water level detector that switches off to indicate tank is full. I love that so that I don’t have to worry about overflow.  The unit itself is pretty small and lightweight.  It measures 8 ½”L x 14″W x 6 ¾”H.

For the eva dry dehumidifier review, I put the unit in the basement in my husband’s workroom because that room is always the stuffiest.  I plugged it in and the results after 24 hours are that is has already collected about 2 1/2 cups of water. I like the indicator window so I can see the progress it is making as it collects water and reduces humidity levels.

The smell is so much better!  I am very happy with it. When I walk in the room, I can instantly tell the relative humidity has been reduced.

Eva Dry Dehumidifier Benefits

  • Bathrooms: Eva-Dry dehumidifiers absorb excess moisture from vapor related activities and help dry fabrics faster reducing risk of mildew, mold spores, and harmful bacteria. It is perfect for removing water vapor from small spaces.
  • All Rooms: While absorbing excess moisture you are also reducing dust activity, and consequently the risk of allergies.
  • Vacation Homes: Absorbs musty odors from stagnant air, and prevents property damage caused by excess moisture.
  • Basements: Protects stored clothing and tools from damage caused by excess moisture.

Eva Dry Dehumidifier 2200

The Eva Dry Dehumidifier 2200 is a small unit with mid-sized capacity. This electric dehumidifier is very effective and offers a great value at $120. I love the automatic water level detector switch so it just cuts off when it is full and waits for me to empty it so it can continue to work its magic. Want to avoid the damaging effects of mold? Try the eva-dry mini dehumidifier.

I was provided with the humidifier in the hopes that I would share my honest opinions.  I received no monetary compensation and the opinions expressed are my own.

It is amazing how many ounces of moisture the eva-dry e-500 was able to remove from my 25 square feet small closet!

I would like the Super Home Value Package.

I’m a big believer in the use of dehumidifiers. My BF lives near the river in an older cabin so there’s a lot of moisture. We found quite a bit of mold throughout the house in the walls, air vents… you name in. He bought a large dehumidifier about 4 years ago and it’s completely gone!

I live in a rental that’s settling and has bad rain drainage. Plus, my bathroom vent is out so I could really put this to good use!

Since humidity is often a problem here, and I have a large home, I think the Eva-Dry 2200 would be best. But the 1100 would be good to have in the laundry room area too.
