First-Ever Beauty Week At Whole Foods Market

Whole Foods Market wants you to know that beauty products can be “green,” responsibly sourced and tested under strict quality standards- not just food. So Whole Foods Market is hosting the first-ever Beauty Week in all stores to celebrate Whole Beauty with events, classes and promotions from March 18 to 24. As part of Beauty Week, they challenged me to a product swap! They provided me with a $50 gift card and I got to use it to switch five of my every day conventional products for natural beauty and personal care products sold at Whole Foods Market. I received no monetary compensation and all opinions shared are my own. I can’t wait to share with you my swap details but first I will give you a run down of the Beauty Week event so you can get the most out it yourselves!

Whole Foods Market Beauty Week March 18-24

Whole Foods Whole Body Beauty Week

You will find events, classes, demonstrations and promotions in Whole Foods Market personal care products and cosmetics sections during the event. I went in on the first day of the event and found some employees giving out samples and showing you how to use products. It was so helpful to have someone explain to me which products they suggested for my skin. I also loved knowing that the products I purchased support a healthy me and a healthy planet!

Limited Edition Beauty Bag- Amazing Deal

Hold the phone for this on! During Beauty Week, all Whole Foods Market locations will offer a limited edition “Hello, Beauty!” bag for just $18 (valued at $60), beginning Saturday, March 21, at 10 a.m. local time. Bags are made with 100 percent cotton recycled saris from RIJI Green, a business committed to ending human trafficking. Each beauty bag is filled with six exclusive product samples, including Derma E Microdermabrasion Scrub, Acure Cell Stimulating Facial Mask, Giovanni 2chic Ultra Repair Shampoo, Pacifica Eye Shadow Duo or Lipstick, Trilogy Vital Moisturizing Cream and Gabriel Mascara, plus $5 in beauty coupons! Holy cow! I already used my gift card to swap five products but you can bet I need to run back over to Whole Foods to take advantage of that deal!

Facial Care Sale

From March 20 to 22, you can save 25% off on all facial care items at Whole Foods Market! Yes! I love it! Sorry, sales on products I actually like always excite me. I mean we are talking about top-tier products at 25% off- sweet! Did you know that Whole Foods Market was named runner-up in the Sustainable Beauty Awards’ “Sustainable Leadership” category in 2014? That kind of stuff gets me all excited too. I have been shopping at Whole Foods since I discovered it in high school with my mom and I am just so proud of how they keep leading the way in bringing products to market that are good for us and good for the environment.

My 5 Natural Beauty Products Swap

I did the 5 Swap Challenge. This was a fun little challenge because swapping just a few products at a time is a great way to make a difference. As I said, I love a sale so I scored some great deals on natural beauty care I can trust.

I needed to swap my haircare so I went over to that section and saw that the Andalou Shampoo and Conditioner were on sale – 2 for $10! What a savings- I snatched those up quick! I had not tried Andalou haircare yet, but I honestly do love every beauty product I try at Whole Foods so I figured I would love it. I do. Andalou has the most wonderful natural soft scents that make me enjoy their products even more.

I also wanted to swap out some facial care products so I found an Andalou exfoliating peel and added that to my cart. Then I heard one of the Whole Foods ladies telling another lady about the ACURE products so I listened up and she suggested the Moroccan Argan Oil for my skin. I have been wanting to try it and it was on sale so that made 4 products.

I could have shopped in there all day but then I spotted my fifth and final product swap and I knew I wanted it, even though it wasn’t on sale. It is the Preserve razor which combines high performance with sustainable design- 100% recycled plastic handle! That makes me happy. I am loving my new natural beauty products.

Here are some fun ingredient trends you can look for as you shop: turmeric, kombucha, watercress, and mongongo oil! I hope you get over to Whole Foods to take advantage of the Beauty Week specials while they last. You can visit WholeFoodsMarket.com if you want to use a store locator. Are you going to swap five? What are your favorite Whole Foods beauty care products?
