As a home owner, I love tools that help me keep my home, porch, and driveway in good shape. I have to say that a pressure washer can definitely come in handy to do lots of DIY home projects. Jobs like cleaning your cement stairway and getting algae of the bricks are 1,000 times easier with the help of a pressure washer. They can even be useful for cleaning your car if you are sure to use the right low pressure nozzles. That is why I am happy to partner with Giraffe Tools to share their brand new Grandfalls Pressure Washer. It is a very unique design in that it is a wall mounted pressure washer. This means that it stores away neatly without taking up any floor space and it is always handy and ready to use.
Giraffe Tools Review of the Grandfalls Pressure Washer
This Giraffe Tools Grandfalls Pressure Washer has some pretty unique features that set it apart from the competition. It is a great pressure washer but what makes it different from a more traditional pressure washer is that it is wall mounted and that it has a retractable hose. Those are both pretty nifty features which I will go into more detail below.
Wall Mount Pressure Washer With Retractable Hose
First, I will give the pros and cons of this Grandfalls Pressure Washer (Model # p106-g30). To me, the main pro is that is a wall mounted which is actually the main con too. In other words, if you want to be able to keep things well organized in your home and have easy access to your power washer at all times, this is the best pressure washer for you. However, if you want a portable unit to bring to job sites with you, this obviously won’t do that trick.
Another pro is the 100 foot retractable hose. I love how it pulls out easily and locks into place when you stop pulling. Then you can give it a tug to release it and retracts back into its housing unit. It works much like a seat belt. It is pretty effortless and you don’t have to spend time fighting with the hose or manually winding and unwinding it. Plus, no worries about the hose tangling or kinking.

Note: Before using a pressure washer, please read the safety instructions from the manufacturer. Because the water comes out at very high pressure (especially the red and orange tips) it can actually damage soft surfaces like wood, siding, or your body if you don’t use care and follow safety guidelines.
My Giraffe Pressure Washer Review
So I have already covered what I think the main pros and cons of the Grandfalls Pressure washer are. I have also shared all the features of this wall mounted pressure washer. Now, I will share installation details and show you some before and after photos from using this electric power washer. I will also share the details of my experience in using this Giraffe Tools pressure washer.
Installing The Grandfalls Wall Mount Pressure Washer
While the the pressure washer itself if fully assembled, you do have to install the unit on your garage wall. This is as simple as attaching the wall bracket to the wall using the 4 provided screws and wall anchors. Then you just slide the wall mount frame onto the bracket and it is all set.
That being said, I recommend a professional or someone who is very handy at DIY projects. My sister-in-law used a stud finder tool to test the garage wall for electrical wires and locate the best spot for installation. Then just follow the instructions in the manual for what size drill bit to use so that your anchors will have a nice snug fit.
Remove Stubborn Stains On Patio
Pressure washers are great for removing built up grime, oil stains, and black gunk from your deck, driveway, and/or patio. I tested it out on my patio. First, I cleared the space of the pots and any furniture so I could get a good thorough cleaning. Then I simply turned on the water spigot and the wall mount frame power. Using the high pressure hose, I pulled my spray gun to the area. I used the 25° green nozzle for this job and I held the tip about 2 feet from the surfaces and sprayed the incoming water directly at the surface. It instantly removed the built up dirt, grime, and any black growth from the aggregate surface and the brick wall. I used broad sweeping motions to clean and clear away from the wall. Quick and easy and now my patio area looks so much fresher and more inviting.
Remove Green Growth On Brick Wall
Part of brick wall had green algae growing and it was especially visible on the grout. This can be a total pain to try to get off by scrubbing but the Giraffe Tools pressure washer made a breeze. A few swipes of the spray gun did the trick and made the brick look new again! I used the 25° green nozzle for that job as well.
Car Wash
Please note: A pressure washer can be too strong and remove paint from your car if you use the wrong tips or hold the gun too close.
I used the interchangeable tips to adjust pressure so that the spray covers a wide area and is softer. While you can use a 25 nozzle on the tires and rims, do not use this on the car’s paint job. Use a 40° white nozzle on the car itself and hold it at least two feet away from the surface as you spray.
I gave my car a once over with the 40° white nozzle to help wash off any dirt and loosen any grime, bug guts, and bird poop. Then I switched to the black nozzle soap tip that attaches to the soap holding bottle. This works like foam cannons to create a fabulous foam spray all over the car. I then turned off the pressure washer while I gave it a quick rub down with my car wash mitt to help remove stubborn spots like the bird poop. Then I gave it a final rinse with 40° white nozzle making sure to wash until I saw all the bubbles run off. Then a quick dry with my car microfiber clothes.
As Turtle Wax says, “Depending on how much you drive and the environmental conditions, experts recommend you wash your car or truck about once every two weeks. With that kind of frequency, you’ll want to make your job fast, effective and easy. One of the best ways to accomplish all three is to upgrade from a garden hose to a car pressure washer.” I agree that it does make the job much easier. I just love the foaming soap nozzle! It is so much fun to use and so effective. I also love the long hose and being able to easily retract it when I am done.
