That’s right! Lisa Loeb is releasing a brand new Kids Book that includes a 10 Song CD that rocks! I was on Twitter not to long ago and I made a new friend. Lisa Loeb followed me back on Twitter! Well, after squeeling like a two year old, I had to go listen to some Lisa Loeb music. Later, I was offered the chance to review the new Lisa Loeb kids book and of course, I couldn’t resist. Curiosity lured me in and I’m glad it did.

You can check out more of what Lisa Loeb is up to at lisaloeb.com or buy the book on Amazon.  I have included my amazon affiliate link below.

Lisa Loeb Kids Book: Songs For Movin’ & Shakin’ Review

First let me say that the book title, Lisa Loeb’s Songs For Movin’ & Shakin’ gives a real clue as to what this book is all about! This book is made to get kids up and moving and having a great time while singing and dancing. This book is all about fun and we could all use more of that!

Inside Lisa Loeb Kids Book

The Lisa Loeb kids book comes with a 10 song CD recorded by Lisa Loeb full of fun get up and dance songs. Some of the songs are tunes you will recognize from your own childhood in a new upbeat way, others are Lisa Loeb’s original creations.

“Lisa’s voice is as charming and sweet as ever and lends itself perfectly to these fun, playful songs. I love her and so do my girls. These songs are the perfect addition to our nightly dance parties!” -Sarah McLachlan

The book has two pages devoted to each song on the CD. My kids and I like that we can learn all the lyrics and there are fun pictures and often illustrated movements for each song. The beginning of the book also tells about a fun game to try with the CD and I plan to use that at my daughter’s slumber party tomorrow!

I dig the Lisa Loeb kids book and CD because it is upbeat music that appeals to my kids with a pretty voice and fun rhythms that make me what to dance around with them. My kids like listening to this CD when they are in the mood to play and they really like learning the movements for each song!
