This post is sponsored by Cammy to share the app that lets you monitor your home remotely from your smartphone. All opinions expressed are my own.

The Free App, Cammy, Lets You Monitor your Home Remotely From Your Smartphone

When you have a family, security becomes more top of the mind, but it is always nice to be able to monitor your home. Cammy, a new free app, lets you easily take a look at what is happening at your house and gives you motion alerts!  With Cammy you don’t need to scrawl through hours of footage to find the events that matter. When motion is detected, an event is created and you can view events by day, time and location.

Cammy is an IP Camera Monitor and it has a ton of uses.  Monitor your home remotely when you’re not there. Check in on your kids and pets, see who’s at the front door, watch over your car, keep an eye on elderly relatives.  You can also use Cammy to monitor your office space or watch for deliveries.

How To Monitor Your Home With Cammy

Setting up Cammy is super easy and just takes minutes.   First you download the free Cammy App (available on the App Store and on Android App on Google Play).

Second you set up Cammy to work with your camera.  Cammy works with IP cameras (purpose built for surveillance and can include added benefits such as night-vision), smartphone cameras (great use for an old smartphone), and even webcams (perfect use of your computer’s webcam to secure your office).  There is an auto-setup feature for some of the most popular IP cameras.  The Cammy app will guide you through the process of setting up your camera so it is very quick and easy.  Plus, you can add multiple cameras if you choose to do so.

Easy set up Cammy

That is all it takes to set up Cammy! Now,  you can monitor your home from your smartphone.

I used the Cammy app with a D-Link Day Network Cloud Camera. There is an auto-setup feature for this IP camera and it just took about a moment. I tried out the CammyCam app for my ipad too and made it into a monitoring camera and then I signed in on cammy.com and used the website to check my ipad cam.  So there are all kinds of ways to use Cammy and CammyCam.

I think Cammy is an amazing free app because I can use it to check in on the kids when they are with the babysitter and I can use it to check in on my house when we go out of town for vacation.  I can also use it to keep an eye on puppy and I think it will be great for busting anyone who touches my chocolate!  Would you use Cammy to monitor your home remotely?   Why not?  It’s free! Sweet!  Learn more at cammy.com
