The kids are about to start school. Fall will soon be in the air, with the trees changing colors and pears & apples will be ready to harvest. With the thought of the kids heading back to school I’ve also been thinking of planning more at home date night activities with my husband or at least planning some grown up time to catch up on the day and relax a little after the kids have gone to bed. Once in a while we like to enjoy an adult beverage during our date nights and fall coming inspired this Pear Honey Margarita that I’m going to make for our first date night after the kids start back to school, which also happens to be our anniversary. I think you will love this unusual fruity margarita recipe and I will share it with you here.
Fruity Margarita Recipe With Pear Juice and Honey
This delicious pear flavored margarita is great served with a basket of chips and salsa and a big plate of authentic Mexican beef tamales.

- 4 Ounces Gold Tequila
- 2 Ounces Triple Sec
- Drizzle of Raw Honey
- Organic Raw Sugar (for glass garnish)
- Cinnamon
Yields 2 Margaritas
How To Make A Fruity Margarita:
This fruity margarita recipe is so easy to make and it does not require any margarita mix.
Pour the pear juice into ice cube trays and freeze until solid. Using frozen juice instead of juice and ice creates a frozen drink rather than a crushed ice/blended drink and it does not become watered down as the juice thaws. If you don’t have time for this step you could just used pear juice and fresh ice and it would still be good but the pear juice cubes kicks it up a notch.
Place margarita glasses in freezer to chill.
Once juice is frozen, place the juice cubes into your blender. I used my single cup for my Ninja but you could use a full size blender.
Add the tequila and the triple sec as well as the honey. They honey should be added to taste. I only add a little (1 tbsp) so as to not make the drink overly sweet. If you don’t like honey, you could use a simple syrup instead.
Add a dash of cinnamon. Blend until smooth.
Mix the raw sugar and cinnamon together for sugaring the rim of the glass.
Coat the rim of the glass with a little bit of raw honey. Dip the glass into the sugar and cinnamon mixture and it will stick to the honey.
Pour the frozen margarita into a margarita glass and enjoy! Garnish with a lime wedge and/or fresh pear wedge, if you like.
This frozen drink is just as refreshing and delicious without the tequila and triple sec. Add a splash of fresh lime juice or lemonade if you prefer a mocktail instead.
