When I found out I was pregnant, I went to my health food store to select a high quality Prenatal Vitamin.  There were rows of prenatal vitamins and the prices covered a very wide range.  I had no idea which one I wanted so I called over a sales associate and he answered my questions  until I selected the Super Nutrition Prenatal vitamins to try.

Which prenatal vitamins were one a day?  That was a priority to me because of my morning sickness.  Which ones were food based versus synthetic? This was important to me because I wanted my body to absorb the vitamins easily.  Which ones had a little extra? I wanted some green foods too because can be hard to get as much as I want to down!  The one that met all my requirements was Simply One Prenatal by Super Nutrition.  I bought it and went home and tried it out.  It was so great to only have to take one pill when I was feeling morning sickness and really having trouble swallowing and it was gentle on my stomach too.  I was very pleased with the quantities and quality of the vitamins provided. You can see nutrition details here.

Super Nutrition Prenatal Blend Review

When I began to run low on the Simply One Prenatal, I checked out the Super Nutrition website.  That is when  I discovered SuperNutrition Prenatal Blend.   The Prenatal Blend are also food-based  tablets intended to be gentle on the stomach and good for pre and post natal women.  The Prenatal Blend is comprehensive and offers more than just the essential nutrients for a healthy mother and baby.

You get all the good stuff that is in the Simply One Prenatal but you also get stronger bone health support for mother and baby – 1,200 mg calcium and 1,000 IU vitamin D.   The Prenatal Blend also provides rich B-complex for sustained energy throughout your pregnancy, 1000 mg of green food, and 200 mg taurine and to support baby’s healthy brain and eye development.

So what’s the catch, you say?  Why would anyone not take this I asked, since it sounded so good.  The catch is you need to take 6 vitamins a day.  It so happens that my morning sickness goes away around the time I pass 4 months so at this point, swallowing 3 pills twice a day was no longer a big deal to me and I was thrilled when they agreed provide me with a bottle for  review.  I am totally pleased with this formulation and truly felt that I was taking the best I could take for my baby.  I really think the B complex does a lot to lift my energy levels.  I also love that it is great for post-natal women too!
