Many of the latest electronics enable you to download a variety of different applications with just the click of a button. While some of these applications are available for free, others can cost a few dollars to download. To prevent accidental downloads that could cost you a pretty penny, simply opt to password protect your device. In this way, apps are unable to be purchased or downloaded without inputting the correct password first. Similarly, your entire tablet, computer or phone can be password protected to prevent children from getting on it without permission. Password protection is a key step for how to childproof ipad, laptop, or cell phone.

Computer Guards

There’s something about being able to click every button possible that fascinate young children. From opening CD and DVD drives to reaching their fingers into USB slot holes and more, there are many different components that children are able to mess with on computers. By using a computer guard on your desktop PC, this piece of material can easily be placed over all buttons to prevent children from pushing them or even noticing that they’re there. Rubber Shockproof Case

Getting an iPad case not only makes your electronics look stylish, but also protects them from harm that your children may cause due to dropping. Trendy shockproof cases are available to purchase in a wide variety of colors, patterns and styles for most tablets and smart phones. For example, choose a sleek black leather case for your iPad to guard against scratches, fingerprints and more. Best of all, most cases are not too bulky and don’t look as though they have been baby-proofed. So you can it will still look classy while being protected.

Keeping Electronics Out of Reach

While nothing can 100% protect your electronics from the damage that your children may cause, it is highly recommended to keep them out of their reach at all times. You may want to get them their own kids tablet. If you are allowing your children to play on your device, ensure that they are supervised at all times. Also set rules and boundaries such as no food or drinks allowed near the electronics. A simple little spill could completely kill the electronics batteries. By taking these baby-proofing steps, your electronics are sure to be safe from potential harm.

Using a Parental Control App

If your child is spending any length of time unsupervised on a device, then you might want to consider a parental control app. These tools add another layer that helps keep your children safe in today’s tech era. If you install a parental control app for online safety, you’ll have these features available:

  • Web filtering. You can block certain websites with sensitive content or filter the pages your child can visit.
  • Limit screen time and block apps. You can pick times to restrict phone access, such as in the evening. It’s possible to make some apps inaccessible, too.
  • Message monitoring. You can track messages on social media and other messaging apps, even if your child deletes them.

Conclusion

Setting ground rules for technology use is important as they get older. For now, childproofing your technology devices and keeping them out of reach unless you specifically decide to let them use it is probably your best bet. Remember to be mindful of exactly how much time you let your little tyke spend on electronics and be sure it is age appropriate.

Gadgets are not for children especially for babies but we cannot deny the fact that most babies love them. What we can at least do is to give gadgets sort of protection not only for the gadget but also for the baby. But the best thing to do is to let baby use gadget when they can clearly use and and handle it.
