Games are made as a way for people to come to together and have fun. That is why the family game night tradition is an excellent way to increase family bonding. Today I am excited to partner with Poobah to share their brand new conversation game. This card game is so easy to endorse because I honestly think it would be fun for just about anyone. The Poobah game is a conversation game so it can be played by all ages with anyone from strangers to family members and at the end of the game you will have learned things about the people you played with and probably had a few good laughs too. With the holidays right around the corner, it is great to have family party games on hand and the Poobah conversation game is sure to be a new favorite.

Poobah Meaning:

According to Merriam Webster,

1. a person holding many public or private offices

2. a person in high position or of great influence

Grand Poobah Meaning: The winner of the Poobah Conversation game.

Poobah Conversation Game Review- A Great Family Party Game

fun family game night game

Poobah is a fun card game that was invented by a group of brothers who desire to unite people through the power of conversation. The brothers are husbands and fathers who believe the most influential of all educational factors is the conversation in a child’s home. And really, getting people involved in good old fashioned conversation is more important than ever in this era of cell phones and solo entertainment.

If you’re into card games, conversations or spending quality time with your family and friends, then you will love Poobah! This fun family party game is great for kids 7 and older, 3 players or more, and it only takes about 15 minutes per round (depending on the number of players) so you can play one quick game or several games in a row if you just don’t want to stop the fun.

Poobah is available starting on November 15th on Kickstarter!

The Poobah card game is fun and that is all any game really needs to be but this game goes above and beyond. Because this game helps players engage, share stories, and learn about each other, Poobah will help strengthen emotional intelligence and family bonds. It also helps improve confidence and decision making as players get to share their point of view, creativity, or funny stories. The role play cards help bring a fun, silly element that kids will enjoy and that adults often need to be reminded to engage in.

This short video shows Poobah in play:

Poobah has got to be the best family party game because it is more than just fun. It sparks family conversation and connection in a very effective, fun way. As a stay-at-home mom, I think I know everything about my kids. Well, Poobah helped me learn more about what is in their heads. With questions like, “What was the most difficult decision you ever had to make?” I had no idea what they would say and I was surprised by the answers! Poobah is really a great way to make the most out of your family time.

Poobah Conversation Game:

  • Is Fun!
  • Allows you to slow down and create moments that matter.
  • Builds relationships through fun and meaningful conversations.

How To Play Poobah:

Game play is very simple. A player begins the game as Poobah, who draws a card and reads it to the group. After players respond to the card, the Poobah confidentially submits a vote for his or her favorite response. Rotate the role of Poobah and repeat. The player with the most votes at the end of the game is the Grand Poobah (winner)!
