How To Put Candy In A Balloon:
Here is how to fill a balloon with candy. First, gather the supplies mentioned above and lay them out on a clear work space so you can begin to make balloon decorations. Next, follow the simple steps below for candy filled balloons.
Begin stuffing a few of the Hershey’s new birthday-themed products inside the balloon necks. I used Jolly Ranchers candies and Jolly Rancher Chews. I stuffed about 3 candies into each balloon pulling the balloon necks over the candies kind of like socks over your feet. This simple trick will allow you to fill balloons in no time. You don’t want the candy stuffed balloons to get too heavy so try to limit the candies to 3-5 in each balloon.
Next, hold the balloon over your bag of confetti (mine were metallic hearts and sparkles) and sprinkle a few pinches of confetti inside the neck of the balloon. You could even add glow sticks. Blow up your “stuffed” balloons nice and large and tie them off. That is how to make stuffed balloons.
The candy filled balloons will be weighted down with the candy so you can also just set a few here and there on the mantle or for extra table decorations. Or you can make a wall decoration banner. Thread your embroidery thread onto the needle and pull free your length of the banner that you want to create. Use the needle to poke the extra tie off part of the balloon and thread the balloons onto your embroidery thread to create your banner.
The great thing about this method is that you don’t have to be very precise because you can just slide your balloons into place once you hang the banner and clip the extra string. (If you prefer you could just tie the string around each balloon tie off but then you will want to measure and space the balloons evenly as you go.) That is it!
