Some of my favorite childhood memories are of picking wild blackberries along a two track road near the lake. To this day if I close my eyes when I taste a fresh blackberry it takes me right back to that place and time.  Now I take my children blackberry picking.  It’s so much fun to watch their excitement when they find a good spot that’s plentiful.  The wild blackberries aren’t quite in season yet here but the fresh berries at the farmer’s market or grocery store are great for making Blackberry Cobbler.  I love dessert and this easy blackberry cobbler recipe is the perfect portion!

How To Make Blackberry Cobbler:

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.

Divide the blackberries between the 4 oven-safe ramekins, covering the bottom of each individual dish.

Sprinkle the dry cake mix over the berries.  I use approximately 3 tbsp in each ramekin.  The mix does not have to be pretty or evenly sprinkled.  Just top the berries and tap the oven-safe dish to help it settle a bit.

Melt the butter in the microwave and drizzle over the berries and cake mix.

Place the bakeware on a cookie sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes or until cake becomes golden brown.

Remove from the oven and allow the cakes to cool until the glass is safe to touch.

Serve this delicious dessert right in the ramekin for a perfect portion.  It can be served warm, at room temperature, or chilled.

I’m sure it would be amazing served warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top or homemade whipped cream.
