Causes Of Cat Anxiety:
What puts a cat on edge? Well, typically a cat may experience anxiety in any new or stressful situation. Cat anxiety symptoms can occur for a variety of temporary reasons such as a trip to the vet, a storm, a visiting pet or person, or a party. While less common, some cats may even experience separation anxiety. Other changes that cause cat anxiety are permanent or long term such as a new household member, a new pet, moving, redecorating.
Cat Anxiety Symptoms
So who cares if your cat is anxious? You do. Either you are sweet and thoughtful and you want to prevent your cat from being stressed or you want to prevent his unwanted stress behaviors. Either way once you see these cat anxiety symptoms you are likely to be as excited as I am to have a tool to help calm your cat by mimicking natural cat pheremones. Cat anxiety symptoms include spraying, scratching, hiding, loss of appetite, and being less cute and cuddly!
My Anxious Cat
Sometimes, it may not occur to you that your cat is anxious. I got a new puppy and I thought my cat was handling it pretty well until the cat started spraying. Uncool. But I couldn’t do much about it except try to minimize their interaction and reassure my kitty with pet sessions. Well, I am excited to have Feliway for cats to help me make my cat feel better and in turn reduce his annoying stress behavior.
Feliway For Cats Is A Cat Anxiety Treatment
Feliway offers several cat calming products- Feliway Diffuser, Feliway Spray, and Feliway wipes. They all work in the same way to use a synthetic copy of the feline facial pheromone used by cats to mark their territory as safe and secure. Feliway for cats is veterinary used and recommended, and clinically proven. Using a Feliway® product creates a state of familiarity and security in the cat’s environment which can be used to help comfort and reassure cats. Feliway for cats helps reduce or prevent unwanted behaviors caused by stress. The Feliway for cats diffuser is the preferred product for dealing with most at home cat anxiety. Just plug the diffuser in the area that your cat frequents the most to help them to adjust more easily to any changes going on.
Helps Eliminate Unwanted Cat Behaviors
Concerned about urine marking and/or hiding? Feliway for cats can do wonders. It is also great for helping a cat adjust to new household members, remodelling, and stressful events like fireworks. The Feliway for cats spray and wipes are perfect for on the go situations such as moving, trips to the vet or boarding. The spray is also an excellent way to mark things as “safe” such as new furniture or an item you don’t want scratched.
I can tell you that I am super happy to have Feliway for cats on hand as a cat anxiety treatment tool to help my kitty in stressful situations. I have used the spray on a few areas to help deter him from urine marking. It seems to be helping so far. I also sprayed some on his snuggle buddy to give him when he needs some calm snuggle time after any upsetting puppy encounters. I am so happy that it helps my kitty have less fear and anxiety in trying situations. #FearFree Help your cat be fear free! Find out more and Check them out on Facebook.
