First, Can Birds Eat Cheerios?
Yes, birds can eat Cheerios in moderation. Plain Cheerios without any added sugar or flavors are safe for birds when given occasionally as a small part of their varied diet. However, it’s essential to avoid giving birds Cheerios coated in sugar or any artificial flavorings, as these additives can be harmful to their health. Offering a diverse diet that includes seeds, fruits, vegetables, and appropriate bird feed is best for their nutritional needs. If offering Cheerios or any other human food to birds, ensure it’s in small quantities and as an occasional treat.

How To Make A Cheerio Bird Feeder
After collecting your Cheerios, rope, and pipe cleaners (you could use flower wire or a coat hanger if you don’t have pipe cleaners), start stringing your Cheerios onto your piper cleaner. Don’t be surprised if this turns into snack time too! It IS a tasty treat for the kiddos as well. I don’t know about you but my kids love to snack. At least this is a healthy option, right?
When your pipe cleaner is full, twist the 2 ends together so the Cheerios won’t fall off and form into whatever shape you would like. We chose to make a circle and a heart hanging bird feeder! You could also form into a square or even an oval. Let your child tell you his or her favorite shape! This Cheerio Bird Feeder craft is filled with various little learning activities.
