So with Valentine’s around the corner, I was thinking of what DIY gift I might make for my children’s teachers. I came up with Chocolate Dipped heart shaped Rice Krispie treats. Because, how can you go wrong with that? I whipped up a batch to test out the idea and then we ate them all- so I think these Rice Krispie Valentines pass the test and will be a perfect DIY gift for Valentine’s Day.

Rice Krispie Valentines Ingredients
chocolate dip
1 cup of semi sweet chocolate chips
4 tbsps heavy cream

40 marshmallows
6 cups of Rice Krispies
3 tbsps of butter
How To Make Heart Shaped Rice Krispie Treats
First make your Rice Krispie Treats.
Butter your baking or casserole dish (size about 13x9x2) to prevent sticking. Melt your butter over medium heat in a large pot on the stovetop. Then stir your marshmallows in and keep stirring until they are all melted too. Remove from heat and add the rice krispies and stir until completely mixed. Transfer to the baking dish and use a greased spoon to press them down into shape.
Next prepare the chocolate dip.
Put chocolate chips and cream in a medium pan over medium heat and stir continuously while they melt and until mixed well. Remove from heat.
Cut Your Rice Krispy Treats.
Use a heart shaped cookie cutter to cut your treats alternating direction so that you can get the most hearts out of a row.
Heart Shaped Rice Krispie Treats Dipped In Chocolate.
Dip your rice krispie hearts into the melted chocolate and place on a cookie sheet. Sprinkle with sprinkles and add conservation hearts. Let the chocolate dry and then serve or wrap as a gift.
