So with Valentine’s around the corner, I was thinking of what DIY gift I might make for my children’s teachers. I came up with Chocolate Dipped Rice Krispy Hearts. I mean how can you go wrong with that? I whipped up a batch to test out the idea and then we ate them all- so I think these Chocolate Dipped Rice Krispy Hearts pass the test will be a perfect DIY teacher gift for Valentine’s Day.
Chocolate Dipped Rice Krispy Hearts Recipe- A Great DIY Gift For Teachers
Chocolate Dipped Rice Krispy Hearts Ingredients
1 cup of semi sweet chocolate chips
4 tbsps heavy cream

6 cups of Rice Krispies
3 tbsps of butter
Chocolate Dipped Rice Krispy Hearts Directions
First make your Rice Krispy Treats.
Butter your baking or casserole dish (size about 13x9x2) to prevent sticking. Melt your butter over medium heat in a large pot on the stovetop. Then stir your marshmallows in and keep stirring until they are all melted too. Remove from heat and add the rice krispies and str until completely mixed. Transfer to the baking dish and use a greased spoon to press them down into shape.
Next prepare the chocolate dip.
Put chocolate chips and cream in a medium pan over medium heat and stir continuously while they melt and until mixed well. Remove from heat.
Cut Your Rice Krispy Treats.
Use a heart shaped cookie cutter to cut your treats alternating direction so that you can get the most hearts out to a row.
Dip Your Rice Krispy Hearts.
Dip your rice krispy hearts into the melted chocolate and place on a cookie sheet. Sprinkle with sprinkles and add conservation hearts. Let the chocolate dry and then serve or wrap as a gift.
