Directions For Painting On Rocks For Kids:

Gather your supplies and head outside! Grab some newspaper or some sort of ground covering and lay it under your rocks to prevent the paint from getting on your grass/sidewalk/porch. Take your paintbrush and paint and start creating your masterpiece! The best part about this craft is that there is not a right or wrong way to do painting on rocks for kids! Your child can use one color or a few colors, they can add dots or stripes or even paint shapes on their rocks. Everyone’s rocks will be unique.

Once your child’s garden rocks are painted the way he/she would like them, lay them out in the sun to dry. Once they are dry (it doesn’t take long…maybe 20-30 minutes), pick a spot in your flower garden, vegetable garden, beside your mailbox, or even by the front door to place your painted garden rocks! You child will love to go outside and look at their colorful creations each day.
