If you’ve every wondered if there was something you could make to help your children fall asleep and get a restful night’s sleep, there is! This all natural Lavender Pillow Spray DIY is a favorite in our house and my kids love helping me make this essential oil sleep spray! There’s just something fun about using products that you actually make and kids feel the same way! They love using this DIY lavender pillow mist each night before crawling into bed.

Lavender essential oil
Cedarwood essential oil
Measuring Spoon

How to Make DIY Lavender Pillow Mist:

Gather your supplies and get your child to help too! First take your spray bottle and add 1 tsp of witch hazel to your bottle. This helps disperse the essential oils throughout the water. Witch Hazel also helps the scent of the essential oils linger for a longer period of time! After adding your witch hazel, add your essential oils. 20 drops of Lavender and 20 drops of Cedarwood. Both of these essential oils are calming, soothing, gentle and relaxing. Perfect oils to use before bedtime!

After your essential oils are added, top the bottle off with your distilled water. Place the spray top back on, give a gentle shake and you or your child is ready to spray! This Lavender Pillow Spray DIY is good for more than just pillows. We like to spray this essential oil sleep spray on sheets, pillows, blankets and stuffed animals! Sometimes a little gets misted onto pajamas. Since these oils are so gentle, they’re perfectly fine to be close to a child. Stuffed animals and loveys (or whatever your child snuggles at night) are perfect places to spray this DIY lavender pillow mist since your child will snuggle next to them and breathe in the calming soothing aroma of the spray.
