We have been using Young Living essential oils on our kiddos going on 4 years now! You know how once you have used something for so long, you couldn’t imagine life without it? Well, that’s how we feel about Young Living essential oils. Something that makes life a little easier when it comes to essential oils and kids is making them their own little roller blends. The roller bottlers make it so easy to apply, especially when you are rushed to get out the door or are not at home. I have three essential oil blend recipes to share today that are perfect for roller bottles and made with kid-friendly essential oils. These are all essential oil blend recipes that we get lots of use out of and I think you will find that they will definitely be handy to have!

3 Essential Oil Blend Recipes Perfect For Kids And Roller Bottles

Essential oil blend recipes offer a multitude of benefits, depending on the specific oils used and their properties. Here are some common benefits of using essential oil blends:

  1. Aromatherapy: Essential oils are widely used in aromatherapy for their therapeutic effects on mood and emotions. Blending different oils can create synergistic effects, enhancing their individual benefits. For example, combining lavender, bergamot, and chamomile can create a calming blend ideal for promoting relaxation and reducing stress.
  2. Physical health: Many essential oils possess antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, and analgesic properties, which can support physical well-being. Blends containing oils like tea tree, eucalyptus, and peppermint may help alleviate respiratory issues, relieve muscle tension, or soothe sore joints.
  3. Skin care: Essential oils are commonly used in skincare for their cleansing, hydrating, and rejuvenating properties. Blends containing oils such as frankincense, geranium, and rosehip can help improve skin texture, tone, and appearance, while also providing nourishment and hydration.

Supplies Needed For Essential Oil Blend Recipes:

  • 5ml Roller Bottles (you can grab these from Amazon)
  • Carrier Oil (sweet almond oil, liquid coconut oil, grapeseed oil are all good choices)
  • Young Living Essential Oils (Lavender, Cedarwood, Pine, Eucalyptus, Peppermint, Melrose and Tea Tree)

The supplies above will allow you to make 3 different essential oil roller blends:

  • Happy Sleep Blend
  • Happy Nose Blend
  • Ouchie Blend

How To Make 3 Kid Friendly Essential Oil Blend Recipes:

Grab your supplies and head to the kitchen counter. What I love about these 3 blends is that they get used a lot because they help alleviate many common problems! These blend ratios are for children 2 and older.

I must stress that I am not doctor and that essential oil products have not been evaluated by the FDA and are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any health condition or disease. Never use an essential oil undiluted unless advised by your health care provider and please direct any concerns or questions about they are safe for you to use with any medical conditions to a qualified health care provider.

Before you begin, see 16 tips for essential oil safety.

Step 1. Grab your roller bottles.

Step 2. For the Happy Sleep blend, add 6 drops of Lavender and 6 drops of Cedarwood. Top off with carrier oil and pop the top on.

Step 3. For the Happy Skin blend, add 5 drops of Tea Tree and 5 drops of Melrose and 3 drops of Lavender. Top off with carrier oil and pop the top on. This blend can be used for cuts, scrapes, minor burns and/or dry patches of skin. This blend of oils is very nourishing and healing to the skin.

Step 4. And lastly, for the Happy Nose blend, add 4 drops of each Peppermint, Eucalyptus Radiata and Pine. Top off with carrier oil and pop the top on. This blend is great for stuffy noses, sniffles or congestion. It’s a great blend to help open up the sinuses.

How To Use EO Blends:

There you have three simple essential oil blend recipes that are perfect for roller bottles and gentle enough for use on children. Roll each essential oil blend recipe on area of concern or for the Sleep Blend, roll on bottoms of feet, wrists and neck. Keep oil away from sensitive areas like the eyes. Always test for sensitivity first on a small patch of skin.
