Apply a tiny amount of calming cream for anxiety to your forearm to test and ensure that you do not have any essential oil sensitivities before using.
How To Make Essential Oil Cream:
This essential oil calming cream recipe is for a single use so you don’t have to worry about having a bowl with a lid or storing it.
Start with your coconut oil. At room temperature coconut oil is usually thick enough so slather on as a cream and thin enough to be able to mix easily. Place 1 TBSP into your bowl. I like to whip it up a bit with a fork to get out any lumps and make it nice and smooth.
Essential oils that are calming–
Next, you will add the calming essential oils. I created this calmer essential oil by combing three lovely essential oils that have relaxing, soothing aromatherapy effects to help you relax and release anxiety. They are to help ease you out of long, stressful day.
Add 3 drops of Lavender, 3 drops of Orange and 1 drop of Patchouli. There are all different combinations that you can make but this essential oil combination is one of my favorites for its calming qualities. Patchouli essential oil is thought to be useful in reducing depression. Orange essential oil is thought to be useful in reducing anxiety and having an uplifting effect. Lavender essential oil has a very calming effect. These essential oils scents are just lovely and using them in this calming cream is so soothing and comforting.
Mix the essential oils into the coconut cream and use this essential oil recipe for relaxation immediately.
How To Use:
I like to rub the cream on my neck and chest and on my arms. Feel free to use on legs and feet too. (It really makes a great dry skin cream.) I usually apply this after I jump in bed but you can use it whenever! Another great time to apply this calming cream is while you are watching tv or just relaxing on the couch! It does take a few minutes for this calming cream to really soak into your skin so it nice to put it on right after you get out of the shower or bath too.
I hope you find this calm essential oil recipe helpful. Breathe in the relaxation. Breath out the anxiety. Have you tried essential oil recipes for anxiety? Have you ever made your own essential oil recipes before? What are your favorite calming scents you like to use to relax your mind and body?
