Instructions on How To Make Essential Oils Calming Cream:
This essential oil calming cream recipe is for a single use so you don’t have to worry about having a bowl with a lid or storing it.
Start with your coconut oil. Place 1 TBSP into your bowl. I like to mix it up a bit with a fork to get out any lumps and make it smooth.
Next, you will add the calming essential oils. Add 3 drops of Lavender, 3 drops of Orange and 1 drop of Patchouli. There are all different combinations that you can make but this essential oil combination is one of my favorites for its calming qualities. Patchouli essential oil is thought to be useful in reducing depression. Orange essential oil is thought to be useful in reducing anxiety and having an uplifting effect. Lavender essential oil has a very calming effect. These essential oils calming scents are just lovely and using them in this calming cream is so soothing and comforting.
Mix the essential oils into the coconut cream and use immediately.
I like to rub the cream on my neck and chest and on my arms. Feel free to use on legs and feet too. (It really makes a great dry skin cream.) I usually apply this after I jump in bed but you can use it whenever! Another great time to apply this calming cream is while you are watching tv or just relaxing on the couch! It does take a few minutes for this calming cream to really soak into your skin so it nice to put it on right after you get out of the shower or bath too.
