Whether we like it or not, the new school year is right around the corner! Most schools around here will be starting at some point this month! One of the best things for your child, especially during the school year, is getting a good restful night’s sleep. When kids get good rest at night, they are able to enter the school day well rested and ready to go. A tired child might have a hard time listening, paying attention and might not be able to focus on their school work as well as if they were well rested from the night before. This Sweet Sleep roller blend is the perfect addition to their nighttime routine! Toddlers on up to high schoolers (and even adults!) can use this essential oil recipe for sleep to help get a better night’s sleep! The oils in this blend are soothing, calming and relaxing.
Essential Oil Recipe For Sleep: Sweet Sleep Roller Blend
Essential Oils Sleep Recipe Supplies Needed:
- 10 ml Glass Roller Bottle
- Lavender Essential Oil
- Cedarwood Essential Oil
- Orange Essential Oil
- Liquid Coconut Oil ( you can use grape seed oil, avocado oil or sweet almond oil as the carrier oil if you prefer)
These chosen essential oils for sleep are all very relaxing and helpful for inducing sleep. Essential oils should not be applied directly to the skin as they are very powerful and best mixed with a carrier oil before application to the skin.
Directions for how to make your Sweet Sleep Roller Blend:
Grab your supplies and head to the kitchen counter. Take your glass roller bottle and add your essential oils first. Add 8 drops of Lavender essential oil, 8 drops of Cedarwood essential oil and 5 drops of Orange essential oil. Once you have added your essential oils, it’s time to top off your roller with your carrier oil. I chose to use liquid coconut oil because it is great for the skin. Once you have filled the rest of the bottle up with carrier oil, pop your roller top on and the Essential Oils Sleep Recipe is ready to use!
We roll this blend on our children each night before they jump in bed. We roll it on the bottoms of their feet and wrists. I sometimes also roll this blend on their stuffed animals. Anything your child cuddles up to while they are drifting off to sleep would be a perfect place to roll this soft soothing blend.
