It seems to me that one of the biggest lessons in life is the importance of balance. I think that most, if not all, mothers struggle with finding balance because with each bundle of joy comes major life changes. One of those changes is often deciding on the right work life balance for you. Today’s post is brought to you by The Best of Both Worlds: How Mothers Can Find Full-Time Satisfaction in Part-Time Work. In this book by Beth Brykman, she focuses on how mothers can bridge the gap between the worlds of “mom” and “career woman” to find that elusive sense of balance. She suggests that part time jobs for moms are often the answer and she goes further to create a resource full of helpful information for those wanting to obtain part-time work.

However, she is also quick to point out that part-time isn’t for everyone. She acknowledges some there can be stigma and that part time work at home jobs are not ideal for everyone. I’ve been a work at home Mom for close to 18 years and agree that there is a learning curve and transitional phase we must go through when we stop working outside the home. Every womans journey is unique. Looks like a very helpful read.
