Am I the only ones who is longing for a sunny day? These winter grey days are lasting too long! The sunshine peeks out from behind the dreary clouds every now and then but I am ready for clear skies and bright sunshine. Spring is more than welcome to come anytime now! I have a fun and easy sun handprint paper plate craft to do with your child/children. It’s bright and colorful and will leave a little sunshine inside!

How To Make Handprint Sun Paper Plate Craft:

Gather your supplies and head to the table. Start with your construction paper. Trace your child’s hand several different times and on different yellow papers. We used 9 handprints for our sun. We also drew and cut out some sunglasses and a smile for our sun! Get creative!

Once you have all the handprints and face cut out, it’s time to tape everything on. The kid’s can get in on this part! Tape each handprint to the back of your paper plate. We overlapped our handprints just  little. Keep going around and taping until you have covered the whole circumference of the plate. Now it’s time to add the sunglasses and smile! We just taped those on as well. Roll a piece of tape up and stick it to the back of your sunglasses and smile.

And there you go…your handprint sunshine paper plate craft is done! My son has hung his on his bedroom door. It’s a nice burst of sunshine when we walk down the hall! These can be hung up on your front door or can even be put on the fridge!

Has your child ever made a handprint craft before? There are so many crafts to do using handprints. This Sun Craft is one of our favorites!
