Fruit Slice Paper Plate Fans Tutorial
Fruit Slice Paper Plate Fan Supplies Needed:
- Paper Plates
- Construction Paper
- Glue Stick
- Black Marker
- Plastic Knives
Directions for how to make your Fruit Slice Paper Plate Fans:
Grab your supplies and spread out on the floor. Help your child choose what fruit slice that they’d like to make. We went with apples and watermelon! Grab a paper plate and cut it in half. For the apple slice, you’ll need a piece of white paper. Cut the piece of white paper in half then take one of the halves and trim it to fit inside the paper plate. You can eyeball this or trace with a pencil.
Next, let your child take the glue stick and cover the back of the white paper. Stick it down on your paper plate slice. All it needs now are a few seeds! Let your child draw a couple seed on the top middle of the white paper that he/she glued down.
Lastly, turn your slice over and tape down your plastic knife for the handle of your fan!
My kiddos made a watermelon fan as well! Grab a green plate and a pink piece of construction paper and follow the first few steps of the apple slice fan. With the black marker, draw some watermelon seeds on the pink paper and follow with taping the knife on for the handle!
