Crafting around the holidays is a family favorite around here. We like to use nature whenever possible to make all kinds of nature crafts! My kids always love hunting around outside for materials to use! This Pine Cone Christmas Tree craft is so easy to make and a lot of fun as well. You more than likely have all the supplies that you need. This is a very inexpensive craft to make which is always nice. If you don’t have a Pine tree in your yard, go hunting around your neighborhood or even to a park. I bet you can find some pine cones that have fallen off a tree instead of going out and buying some!  Here is my simple tutorial for how to make pine cone Christmas trees.

Directions For How To Make Pine Cone Christmas Trees:

This is a very simple tutorial that can be so much fun for you and your kids.  Start with your pine cones and your paint. Lay down a piece of paper under your pine cone to prevent paint from getting on your work space. Squirt a little paint on your paper or into a little bowl and paint your pine cone.

Once your pine cones are dry, add your decorations. We chose to add a pipe cleaner star, some twine and also some stickers. You could even grab some glitter and sprinkle your tree right after painting it!

I took a toilet paper roll and cut a small piece off of the end to make a little stand for our tree. My kids loved making a few of these trees and placing them around the house. My son wanted to make his tree a Lego tree so he took some extra Lego pieces and glued them to his pine cone tree. The possibilities for decorating your little pine cone trees are endless.

I hope you enjoyed the directions for how to make pine cone Christmas trees. Have you ever used pine cones for a craft? This Pine Cone Christmas Tree craft is fun for kids and grown ups alike! Gather up some pine cones and try this for your next crafting session!
