I have a super exciting announcement to make. I have written my first book! You all know how important family is to me and you may also know how important my grandparents were in my own life. My new book is called Sharing Stories, Making Memories: A Journal for Grandparents and Grandchildren and it will be available on August 6th, just in time for National Grandparents Day! This grandkids and grandparents journal make a great gift. Check it out through my Amazon affiliate link or look for it in your local bookstore.

Sharing Stories, Making Memories: A Journal for Grandparents and Grandchildren

I think grandparents are a huge blessing. From everyday interactions, to special times and gifts, to the sharing of family values, grandparents make a huge difference in the lives of their children and grandchildren.

Sharing Stories Making Memories

So many grandparents and grandchildren are separated by distance these days and have less family time and I want to help foster close bonds between them. The truth is that even when grandparents are super close to their grandchildren, the age gap can prevent from sharing personal stories and getting to know each other in a deeper way. I am so excited for this book to help bridge the age gap by providing a journal where stories are shared between the generations.

A Grandparents Memory Book For Them To Do Together

I know from experience, when your grandparents are gone, there are often things you wish you could ask them. Stories you wish you could remember better. This journal for grandparents and grandchildren helps foster that exchange, creates new memories, and provides a great family keepsake.

I just got the proof copy so I let my mom and son open it together and it was such a nice surprise for all of us. I knew what was in the box, of course, and my son is crafty he had guessed too but it was a total surprise for my mom.

Best Gift For Grandparents

The Sharing Stories, Making Memories books make wonderful gifts for grandparents. I felt really proud to be able to share the grandparents journal with my mom and son. My own grandparents inspired me so much! I wish I could have the pleasure of filling out the journal with my grandparents and sharing our stories and making more memories together. My children have begun to fill out their journals with their grandparents! I am got each of their grandparents two copies as gifts so they can have one to share with each of their grandchildren.

“You are the sun, Grandma, you are the sun in my life.” -Kitty Tsui

“What children need most are the essentials that grandparents provide in abundance. They give unconditional love, kindness, patience, humor, comfort, lessons in life. And, most importantly, cookies.” -Rudy Giuliani

“Grandma always made you feel she had been waiting to see just you all day and now the day was complete.” -Marcy DeMaree

“Nobody can do for little children what grandparents do. Grandparents sort of sprinkle stardust over the lives of little children.” -Alex Haley

Honestly, in this day and age where electronics take up so much of our personal time, I think we need things like Sharing Stories, Making Memories: A Journal for Grandparents and Grandchildren to help us focus our energies more on our interpersonal exchanges and share some truly meaningful time together. Don’t you?

Grandparents Journal Endorsements & Reviews:

“Scarlet Paolicchi brings her thoughtful charm to a new family resource that spans generations. This book is the perfect way to deepen bonds between grandparents and grandchildren – whether they live next door or halfway across the world!” – Chelsea Day, Founder of Someday I’ll Learn

“After parents, grandparents are the single most influential force in a child’s life. Our kids are so fortunate to be able to make such great memories. This journal is the perfect place to share it all.” -Stacie Connerty, Founder of DivineLifestyle.com

“Sweet. Valuable. Perfect. Time flies too quickly and that’s exactly why this journal is SO important. I knew Scarlet had created something truly special because my heart grew a little with each chapter. I’d truly give anything to have a treasure like this with my own grandparents.” -Dawn Lopez, Founder of Cutefetti

“The ten chapters in the book focus on topics such as All About Us, My Favorite Things, Our Family & Traditions, Childhood, School Days, and more, all of which grandparents and grandchildren can fill out together or separately and share the results with each other, thereby passing on traditions, family history, and an appreciation for each other’s knowledge and experience. Completing the activities will not only allow grandparents and grandchildren to create new memories (as well as reminisce about days gone by), but will also produce a family keepsake that will be cherished for generations to come.”  Monica Storch, Editor of Macaroni Kid Manhattan East Side

Conclusion

Many of you have asked how you can support me beyond buying your own copy of the book. One way you can really make an impact is to write an honest review of the book on Amazon. Customer reviews lend credibility to products online and they also help people who are on the fence decide if this book is right for them. In the next few weeks, I’ll be sharing some of my favorite reviews for the book on social media, so keep an eye out for those (maybe I’ll pick yours!)  Thank you for your help spreading the word about Sharing Stories, Making Memories in person and online!

Catch a sneak peak video of the book on IGTV here or on YouTube here.

See a photo of me with my grandmother here. That look on both of our faces is pure joy:)

If you are looking for grandparents books of shared memories, I think you will find this fits the bill. Do you think that this journal would be a fun grandparent grandchild activity? Are you looking for a grandparents grandchildren keepsake that can be cherished and passed down?
