Y’all know I live in Nashville, right? So some of you probably already assume I am a country music fan. Well, you’re right! I grew up listening to country music. My dad’s house was way out in the country, up an old gravel and dirt road, and thinking back to my childhood often evokes memories of me sitting out on the porch with the door open, because we had no air conditioner, and listening to music coming from inside with all of my attention. I loved to listen to the words and really imagine them like a movie and sometimes to imagine myself singing them. Country music often grabbed me deep and still, years and years later, there are certain songs that elicit certain memories. Country music in particular has a way of really moving me. The subjects are often just so real and relatable. Well, that is exactly true of Keith Urban’s new song- Coming Home! This post is sponsored by Universal Music Group. All opinions expressed are my own.
Keith Urban- New Song
#KeithUrbanComingHome
Award winning, chart topping country artist Keith Urban has released a new song called “Coming Home”. Is is a fun, upbeat song that so many music fans of all genres will be able to relate to. It is the kind of song you will hear on the radio and turn it up because it puts you in a good mood. Coming Home is a perfect song to play for picking up your energy level like when you workout, go dancing, clean the house, or go for a walk.
Keith Urban shared that he drew on inspiration from the legendary Merle Haggard when he created “Coming Home”. The story of the song is about being far from home for whatever reason and that moment when you realize you have just got to get back home. I just love listening to the song lyrics.
A few of the Lyrics From “Coming Home”:
“I wake up feeling in my soul I’m living someone else’s life
…
There is a place that I know where they all know me
I gotta get back now to the ones who love me
Wrap myself around you, never let you go
There’s nothin’ in the world feels like coming home.”
Julia Michaels, pop singer/songwriter, is also a featured artist in the song and her voice compliments his perfectly with that same desire to get home-
“Yeah, I know it’s only one call away
but it’s not the same.“
You have got hear “Coming Home” for yourself. I am sure you will be adding it to your playlists!

Awesome news! I’ve liked Keith Urban ever since I first saw him on American Idol. I wasn’t really familiar with him before he married Nicole. He always seemed like a nice guy on AI and I enjoyed it when he would perform.
