The author of Come Back Dear Sun, a kids book about the importance of playing outside, is providing an Amazon gift card for giveaway to one of my readers to celebrate her book’s release on Kindle.

A Kids Book About The Importance Of Playing Outside: Come Back Dear Sun

Come Back Dear Sun is a fun kids book that uses rhymes to help the story flow.  It tells the story of two adventurous children that set out to talk to the moon.

“Mattie,” I whispered.  “Are you asleep?
I have a plan that may seem a bit steep.
We need rope, a bow and arrow, and two cups,
So we can talk to the moon; are you up?”

Come Back Dear Sun kids book encourages kids to use their imagination, to go after big dreams, and to enjoy the sun when it shines! Geena Bean skillfully creates characters with whom children can easily relate. You kids will enjoy the imaginative journey the kids take to bring back the sun.  My kids are 6 and 8 and they both liked it a lot and it is a fun book to read out loud to them because of the rhyming cadence.

Kids Book Author Does School and Library Visits

You can also book Geena Bean, the author of the children’s book Come Back Dear Sun, to speak at your school or library.

“One of my most passionate pastimes involves the art of reading to children and storytelling.  I would love to come visit your school or library, read to the children, and then engage in a hands on presentation about my work, and the key elements in creating a children’s book.”

Geena Bean has programs created specific to each grade level and she works to help kids not only understand how to create a book, but how to do this in a way that it’s fun, fresh and true to their own wonders and thoughts. Just as she does in her book, Geena Bean focuses her school visits on the importance of hard work, dedication and passion, as well as always having a sense of wonder and imagination. We need more encouragement for kids to play outside! It’s so easy to just not think and let our kids veg out in front of electronics, but that’s not going to do anything positive for their health. Thanks for the link to the book!

I believe this technology “explosion” into new generations destroyed some of the most biggest and important values in children’s lives!Children need to get out and find out the magic things that hide behind every simple thing , like playing in the neighborhood with your friends, make dreams for the future, and especially explore their imagination in ways that technology wouldn’t let them do.I’m really glad that this book exists and can inspire children in ways to move them and make them get out and play with their friends instead of staying inside home and playing with their tablets or so.I’m 22 , studying Computers & network engineering,i don’t blame technology for coming to our lives(technology is something beautiful too when you know the limits of using it) but i want to remind to every new parent that they have to let them kids socialize and play with other kids and don’t let them spend all of their day inside home playing with a tablet etc. The beautiful things in life aren’t “things” 🙂
