I recently got the opportunity to host a LeapFrog Party for a bunch of my children’s friends. My kids love their stuffed Tad that sings them songs and they love the LeapFrog Word Factory video so I jumped at the opportunity.
LeapFrog provided a LeapPad and Tag Reader System for all of the party guests to get a chance to play with and some fun game suggestions. I will share with you some of the comments and feedback from the party goers.
LEAPPAD EXPLORER LEARNING TABLET
“LeapPad™ Explorer is the new personalized learning tablet just for kids! A built-in camera/video recorder, a library of 100+ cartridge games and activities and innovative creativity and reading apps offer limitless learning and endless ways to play!”
The LeapPad learning tablet was certainly the star of our party. I had to pry the kids off it one by one and make them let someone else have a turn! They all loved it and they even enjoyed watching the action when their friends were playing it!
Some of the Favorite Features of the LeapLap:
“The Roly Poly Picnic is so much fun.”
“The Letter Factory is my favorite because it tells you all of the letter sounds.”
Several of the kids liked the photo function and creating videos.
The boys really enjoyed the Disney Pixar Cars 2 Ultra Ebook.
They really liked the Pet Pad app because “you can create your own pet and you get to play games with the pet and feed it when it is hungry.”
The LeapSchool reading cartridge game, “has all these different people; they do lots of stuff and it is fun because they play with you.”
TAG READING SYSTEM
“Learn to read with the #1 selling reading system!* The amazing touch technology of Tag brings books to life to teach phonics, vocabulary, comprehension skills and more. And a library of 40+ interactive storybooks, maps and more feature characters to help inspire children to learn to read. “
A couple of the parents were familiar with the Tag Reading System and said that they had used it to help teach their children to read. The Tag Reader was completely new for my kids though and my four year old in particular really enjoyed being able to read himself books with it he read every one of the Learn To Read series one right after the next. He also liked playing the games at the end of the books. The parents seemed to really like the Tag Interactive Map and that it allows kids to soar into an around-the-world adventure and learn fun factwith the two-sided Tag™ World & United States maps. I must say I really like this one a lot because I am all for learning geography at a young age and making it fun!
I was provided with the LeapFrog toys in the hopes that I would share my honest opinions. I received no monetary compensation and the opinions expressed are my own.
