I’m sure everyone has seen those stress balls that have been around for years. I remember when I was younger, my mother had one that sat on her work desk and I would always play around with it when I was there at her office. It was fun and squishy and felt good in my hands! Well, I have kicked these homemade stress relieving balls up a bit by adding a drop of relaxing essential oil to the outside of the balloon. If you tend to fidget, these DIY fidget balls would be great for you! Do you stress and need something to turn your mind to? These aromatherapy balls would be a great way to de-stress.
Aromatherapy Stress Relieving Balls Tutorial
Aromatherapy Stress/Fidget Ball Supplies Needed:
- Balloons
- Sugar/Sand
- Essential Oils ( Stress Away, Lavender and Orange are all great for helping you to relax your mind)
How To Make Aromatherapy Stress Relieving Balls:
Start with your balloons and sugar. Grab a small funnel and insert it into the top of your balloon. Slowly pour the sugar into the balloon. After each pour of sugar, squish the sugar down toward the bottom of your balloon. Pack it down as much as you can so you can get a good amount of sugar into your balloon.
After you have packed in as much sugar as you can, tie of the balloon. Once the balloon is tied off, add a drop of relaxing essential oil into the side of your balloon. Immediately rub between hands or use one hand to massage the sugar around. You can even add a drop of essential oil to the tied off part of the balloon at the top.
The relaxing oil will get onto your hands and will warm up as you rub the balloon between your hands. The scent of the oil will disperse in the air and you will be able to smell it. You can also bring your hands up to your nose and breathe in deeply.
They also say coloring can be stress relieving. If you want to try that too, then here are some free printable sun catchers you can color.
