The Matilda Jane brand makes whimsical clothing collections for baby, girls, and women. The adult lines have some exceptionally cute tops and dresses, in my opinion. Each season, the new lines feature a new color palette. They also make some adorable little girl accessories such as cloth lunchboxes, backpacks, masks, and ruffle blankets. They even have the most adorable cloth dolls with yarn hair like the one my grandmother made for me when I was little!
Matilda Jane Jeans Review
Matilda Jane is also known for their stylish jeans. Their standard jean offering includes a Women’s Medium Wash Jean and a Dark Wash Jean. Their high quality denim includes a bit of stretch so it is very comfortable and it offers a flattering form fit with a skinny leg profile.
Matilda Jane Sizing For Jeans
They have just enough stretch be be really comfortable but still hug all the right places. They are fitted around waist and butt and are straight legged. The thickness is medium and they are true to size.
They are my favorite jeans for the comfort and how confident I feel in them. I have several pairs and plan on distressing a pair to give them a different look! They are also comparable in price to any other boutique brand jeans. And with the dark and medium wash on sale 2 for $99 for a limited time, they are a steal!
Matilda Jane Clothes- Dress And Skort Reviews
There is a Matilda Jane womens line and I chose to review the Women’s Maxi Dress. I like the fitted top and the flowing bottom. Plus, you can never go wrong with a black dress! Not too dressy, not too casual, this black maxi dress is made of a nice lightweight fabric that breaths well. I also love this rayon fabric because the wrinkles just fall right out. Oh yes, and there are pockets!
Very cute and comfy. I just love it!
Matilda Jane Sizing For Dresses
I should mention though that at 5’6″ it only works for me with heels because it is quite long, as maxi dresses are. I ordered a small and found it true to size otherwise.
My daughter is 15 so we selected something from the tween collection- the Waterfall skort in size 14. It was pretty true to size as well. The length is short but it is a skort so that was to be expected. It has a cute ruffle that makes it appear to be a skirt from the front but it is clearly shorts from the back. The soft denim material goes well with everything and is very versatile.
